بِسمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحمٰنِ الرَّحيمِ

In the name of The God, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.

Al-Jathiyah 45:1

حم

Ha, Mim.

Al-Jathiyah 45:2

تَنزيلُ الكِتٰبِ مِنَ اللَّهِ العَزيزِ الحَكيمِ

The sending down of the Book is from The God, the Almighty, the Wise.

Al-Jathiyah 45:3

إِنَّ فِى السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالأَرضِ لَـٔايٰتٍ لِلمُؤمِنينَ

In the heavens and the earth are surely signs for the believers.

Al-Jathiyah 45:4

وَفى خَلقِكُم وَما يَبُثُّ مِن دابَّةٍ ءايٰتٌ لِقَومٍ يوقِنونَ

In your creation and the creatures He spreads are signs for people who are certain.

Al-Jathiyah 45:5

وَاختِلٰفِ الَّيلِ وَالنَّهارِ وَما أَنزَلَ اللَّهُ مِنَ السَّماءِ مِن رِزقٍ فَأَحيا بِهِ الأَرضَ بَعدَ مَوتِها وَتَصريفِ الرِّيٰحِ ءايٰتٌ لِقَومٍ يَعقِلونَ

In the alternation of night and day, the provision The God sent down from the sky by which He revived the earth after its death, and the turning of the winds are signs for people who reason.

Al-Jathiyah 45:6

تِلكَ ءايٰتُ اللَّهِ نَتلوها عَلَيكَ بِالحَقِّ ۖ فَبِأَىِّ حَديثٍ بَعدَ اللَّهِ وَءايٰتِهِ يُؤمِنونَ

These are the signs of The God which We recite to you in truth. Then in what discourse, after The God and His signs, will they believe?

Al-Jathiyah 45:7

وَيلٌ لِكُلِّ أَفّاكٍ أَثيمٍ

Woe to every sinful fabricator,

Al-Jathiyah 45:8

يَسمَعُ ءايٰتِ اللَّهِ تُتلىٰ عَلَيهِ ثُمَّ يُصِرُّ مُستَكبِرًا كَأَن لَم يَسمَعها ۖ فَبَشِّرهُ بِعَذابٍ أَليمٍ

Who hears the signs of The God recited to him, then persists arrogantly as though he had not heard them. So give him news of a painful punishment.

Al-Jathiyah 45:9

وَإِذا عَلِمَ مِن ءايٰتِنا شَيـًٔا اتَّخَذَها هُزُوًا ۚ أُولٰئِكَ لَهُم عَذابٌ مُهينٌ

When he learns something of Our signs, he takes them in mockery. For those there is a humiliating punishment.

Al-Jathiyah 45:10

مِن وَرائِهِم جَهَنَّمُ ۖ وَلا يُغنى عَنهُم ما كَسَبوا شَيـًٔا وَلا مَا اتَّخَذوا مِن دونِ اللَّهِ أَولِياءَ ۖ وَلَهُم عَذابٌ عَظيمٌ

Behind them is Hell. Neither what they have earned nor those they have taken as protectors besides The God will avail them at all. For them there is a great punishment.

Al-Jathiyah 45:11

هٰذا هُدًى ۖ وَالَّذينَ كَفَروا بِـٔايٰتِ رَبِّهِم لَهُم عَذابٌ مِن رِجزٍ أَليمٌ

This is guidance. Those who disbelieved in their Lord’s signs will have a punishment of painful torment.

Al-Jathiyah 45:12

اللَّهُ الَّذى سَخَّرَ لَكُمُ البَحرَ لِتَجرِىَ الفُلكُ فيهِ بِأَمرِهِ وَلِتَبتَغوا مِن فَضلِهِ وَلَعَلَّكُم تَشكُرونَ

The God is the One who subjected the sea to you so that ships may sail upon it by His command, and so that you may seek His bounty and be grateful.

Al-Jathiyah 45:13

وَسَخَّرَ لَكُم ما فِى السَّمٰوٰتِ وَما فِى الأَرضِ جَميعًا مِنهُ ۚ إِنَّ فى ذٰلِكَ لَـٔايٰتٍ لِقَومٍ يَتَفَكَّرونَ

He subjected to you whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on earth, all from Him. In this are signs for people who reflect.

Al-Jathiyah 45:14

قُل لِلَّذينَ ءامَنوا يَغفِروا لِلَّذينَ لا يَرجونَ أَيّامَ اللَّهِ لِيَجزِىَ قَومًا بِما كانوا يَكسِبونَ

Tell those who believe to forgive those who do not hope for the days of The God, so that He may repay a people for what they used to earn.

Al-Jathiyah 45:15

مَن عَمِلَ صٰلِحًا فَلِنَفسِهِ ۖ وَمَن أَساءَ فَعَلَيها ۖ ثُمَّ إِلىٰ رَبِّكُم تُرجَعونَ

Whoever does good, it is for himself; whoever does evil, it is against himself. Then you will be returned to your Lord.

Al-Jathiyah 45:16

وَلَقَد ءاتَينا بَنى إِسرٰءيلَ الكِتٰبَ وَالحُكمَ وَالنُّبُوَّةَ وَرَزَقنٰهُم مِنَ الطَّيِّبٰتِ وَفَضَّلنٰهُم عَلَى العٰلَمينَ

We certainly gave the Children of Israel the Book, judgment, and prophethood, provided them with good things, and favored them above the worlds.

Al-Jathiyah 45:17

وَءاتَينٰهُم بَيِّنٰتٍ مِنَ الأَمرِ ۖ فَمَا اختَلَفوا إِلّا مِن بَعدِ ما جاءَهُمُ العِلمُ بَغيًا بَينَهُم ۚ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ يَقضى بَينَهُم يَومَ القِيٰمَةِ فيما كانوا فيهِ يَختَلِفونَ

We gave them clear proofs concerning the matter. They differed only after knowledge had come to them, out of transgression among themselves. Your Lord will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection concerning what they differed about.

Al-Jathiyah 45:18

ثُمَّ جَعَلنٰكَ عَلىٰ شَريعَةٍ مِنَ الأَمرِ فَاتَّبِعها وَلا تَتَّبِع أَهواءَ الَّذينَ لا يَعلَمونَ

Then We placed you upon a path of the matter; so follow it, and do not follow the desires of those who do not know.

Al-Jathiyah 45:19

إِنَّهُم لَن يُغنوا عَنكَ مِنَ اللَّهِ شَيـًٔا ۚ وَإِنَّ الظّٰلِمينَ بَعضُهُم أَولِياءُ بَعضٍ ۖ وَاللَّهُ وَلِىُّ المُتَّقينَ

They will not avail you at all against The God. The wrongdoers are protectors of one another, and The God is the protector of the mindful.

Al-Jathiyah 45:20

هٰذا بَصٰئِرُ لِلنّاسِ وَهُدًى وَرَحمَةٌ لِقَومٍ يوقِنونَ

This is insight for people, and guidance and mercy for people who are certain.

Al-Jathiyah 45:21

أَم حَسِبَ الَّذينَ اجتَرَحُوا السَّيِّـٔاتِ أَن نَجعَلَهُم كَالَّذينَ ءامَنوا وَعَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ سَواءً مَحياهُم وَمَماتُهُم ۚ ساءَ ما يَحكُمونَ

Do those who have committed evil deeds think We will make them like those who believe and do good deeds, equal in their life and death? Evil is their judgment.

Al-Jathiyah 45:22

وَخَلَقَ اللَّهُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالأَرضَ بِالحَقِّ وَلِتُجزىٰ كُلُّ نَفسٍ بِما كَسَبَت وَهُم لا يُظلَمونَ

The God created the heavens and the earth in truth, and so that every soul may be repaid for what it has earned; they will not be wronged.

Al-Jathiyah 45:23

أَفَرَءَيتَ مَنِ اتَّخَذَ إِلٰهَهُ هَوىٰهُ وَأَضَلَّهُ اللَّهُ عَلىٰ عِلمٍ وَخَتَمَ عَلىٰ سَمعِهِ وَقَلبِهِ وَجَعَلَ عَلىٰ بَصَرِهِ غِشٰوَةً فَمَن يَهديهِ مِن بَعدِ اللَّهِ ۚ أَفَلا تَذَكَّرونَ

Have you seen one who takes his desire as his god, whom The God has led astray with knowledge, sealing his hearing and heart and placing a covering over his sight? Who, then, will guide him after The God? Will you not take heed?

Al-Jathiyah 45:24

وَقالوا ما هِىَ إِلّا حَياتُنَا الدُّنيا نَموتُ وَنَحيا وَما يُهلِكُنا إِلَّا الدَّهرُ ۚ وَما لَهُم بِذٰلِكَ مِن عِلمٍ ۖ إِن هُم إِلّا يَظُنّونَ

They said: There is only this worldly life of ours; we die and live, and nothing destroys us but time. They have no knowledge of this; they only conjecture.

Al-Jathiyah 45:25

وَإِذا تُتلىٰ عَلَيهِم ءايٰتُنا بَيِّنٰتٍ ما كانَ حُجَّتَهُم إِلّا أَن قالُوا ائتوا بِـٔابائِنا إِن كُنتُم صٰدِقينَ

When Our clear signs are recited to them, their only argument is to say: Bring our fathers, if you are truthful.

Al-Jathiyah 45:26

قُلِ اللَّهُ يُحييكُم ثُمَّ يُميتُكُم ثُمَّ يَجمَعُكُم إِلىٰ يَومِ القِيٰمَةِ لا رَيبَ فيهِ وَلٰكِنَّ أَكثَرَ النّاسِ لا يَعلَمونَ

Say: The God gives you life, then causes you to die, then gathers you for the Day of Resurrection, in which there is no doubt. But most people do not know.

Al-Jathiyah 45:27

وَلِلَّهِ مُلكُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالأَرضِ ۚ وَيَومَ تَقومُ السّاعَةُ يَومَئِذٍ يَخسَرُ المُبطِلونَ

To The God belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. On the day the Hour arises, those who pursue falsehood will lose.

Al-Jathiyah 45:28

وَتَرىٰ كُلَّ أُمَّةٍ جاثِيَةً ۚ كُلُّ أُمَّةٍ تُدعىٰ إِلىٰ كِتٰبِهَا اليَومَ تُجزَونَ ما كُنتُم تَعمَلونَ

You will see every community kneeling. Every community will be called to its book: Today you are repaid for what you used to do.

Al-Jathiyah 45:29

هٰذا كِتٰبُنا يَنطِقُ عَلَيكُم بِالحَقِّ ۚ إِنّا كُنّا نَستَنسِخُ ما كُنتُم تَعمَلونَ

This is Our book, speaking about you in truth. We were having what you did recorded.

Al-Jathiyah 45:30

فَأَمَّا الَّذينَ ءامَنوا وَعَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ فَيُدخِلُهُم رَبُّهُم فى رَحمَتِهِ ۚ ذٰلِكَ هُوَ الفَوزُ المُبينُ

As for those who believed and did good deeds, their Lord will admit them into His mercy. That is the clear triumph.

Al-Jathiyah 45:31

وَأَمَّا الَّذينَ كَفَروا أَفَلَم تَكُن ءايٰتى تُتلىٰ عَلَيكُم فَاستَكبَرتُم وَكُنتُم قَومًا مُجرِمينَ

As for those who disbelieved: Were My signs not recited to you, but you were arrogant and were a guilty people?

Al-Jathiyah 45:32

وَإِذا قيلَ إِنَّ وَعدَ اللَّهِ حَقٌّ وَالسّاعَةُ لا رَيبَ فيها قُلتُم ما نَدرى مَا السّاعَةُ إِن نَظُنُّ إِلّا ظَنًّا وَما نَحنُ بِمُستَيقِنينَ

When it was said: The promise of The God is true, and there is no doubt about the Hour, you said: We do not know what the Hour is; we only conjecture, and we are not certain.

Al-Jathiyah 45:33

وَبَدا لَهُم سَيِّـٔاتُ ما عَمِلوا وَحاقَ بِهِم ما كانوا بِهِ يَستَهزِءونَ

The evils of what they had done became apparent to them, and what they used to mock surrounded them.

Al-Jathiyah 45:34

وَقيلَ اليَومَ نَنسىٰكُم كَما نَسيتُم لِقاءَ يَومِكُم هٰذا وَمَأوىٰكُمُ النّارُ وَما لَكُم مِن نٰصِرينَ

It was said: Today We forget you as you forgot the meeting of this day of yours. Your dwelling is the Fire, and you have no helpers.

Al-Jathiyah 45:35

ذٰلِكُم بِأَنَّكُمُ اتَّخَذتُم ءايٰتِ اللَّهِ هُزُوًا وَغَرَّتكُمُ الحَيوٰةُ الدُّنيا ۚ فَاليَومَ لا يُخرَجونَ مِنها وَلا هُم يُستَعتَبونَ

That is because you took the signs of The God in mockery and the worldly life deceived you. So today they will not be brought out of it, nor will they be asked to make amends.

Al-Jathiyah 45:36

فَلِلَّهِ الحَمدُ رَبِّ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَرَبِّ الأَرضِ رَبِّ العٰلَمينَ

So praise belongs to The God, Lord of the heavens and Lord of the earth, Lord of all worlds.

Al-Jathiyah 45:37

وَلَهُ الكِبرِياءُ فِى السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالأَرضِ ۖ وَهُوَ العَزيزُ الحَكيمُ

To Him belongs greatness in the heavens and the earth, and He is the Almighty, the Wise.
