In the name of The God, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.
Yunus 10:1
ۚ
Alif, Lam, Ra. These are the signs of the wise Book.
Yunus 10:2
ۗ
Was it a wonder to people that We revealed to a man from among them, “Warn the people and give the believers good news that they have a true standing with their Lord”? The disbelievers said, “This is a clear magician.”
Yunus 10:3
ۖ ۖ ۚ ۚ
Your Lord is The God, who created the heavens and the earth in six days, then established Himself upon the Throne. He directs the affair. There is no intercessor except after His permission. That is The God, your Lord, so worship Him. Will you not take heed?
Yunus 10:4
ۖ ۚ ۚ
To Him is the return of you all. The promise of The God is true. He begins creation, then repeats it, to reward with justice those who believe and do righteous deeds. Those who disbelieve have a drink of boiling water and a painful punishment for their disbelief.
Yunus 10:5
ۚ ۚ
He is the One who made the sun a radiance and the moon a light, and measured out stages for it so that you may know the number of years and the reckoning. The God created this only in truth. He sets out the signs in detail for people who know.
Yunus 10:6
In the alternation of night and day, and in what The God has created in the heavens and the earth, are signs for people who are mindful.
Yunus 10:7
Those who do not hope to meet Us, are content with the worldly life and rest secure in it, and those who are heedless of Our signs—
Yunus 10:8
Their refuge is the Fire because of what they used to earn.
Yunus 10:9
ۖ
Those who believe and do righteous deeds—their Lord guides them through their faith. Rivers flow beneath them in gardens of delight.
Yunus 10:10
ۚ
Their call therein is, “Glory be to You, O God,” and their greeting therein is, “Peace.” The end of their call is, “Praise belongs to The God, Lord of the worlds.”
Yunus 10:11
ۖ
If The God hastened evil for people as they seek to hasten good, their term would have been concluded. So We leave those who do not hope to meet Us wandering blindly in their transgression.
Yunus 10:12
ۚ
When harm touches a person, he calls upon Us on his side, sitting, or standing. When We remove his harm, he passes on as though he had never called upon Us concerning a harm that touched him. Thus what the excessive used to do has been made fair to them.
Yunus 10:13
ۙ ۚ
We destroyed generations before you when they did wrong. Their messengers came to them with clear proofs, but they would not believe. Thus We recompense the guilty people.
Yunus 10:14
Then We made you successors on the earth after them, to see how you would act.
Yunus 10:15
ۙ ۚ ۖ ۖ
When Our clear signs are recited to them, those who do not hope to meet Us say, “Bring a Qur’an other than this, or change it.” Say, “It is not for me to change it of my own accord. I follow only what is revealed to me. If I disobey my Lord, I fear the punishment of a great day.”
Yunus 10:16
ۖ ۚ
Say, “Had The God willed, I would not have recited it to you, nor would He have made it known to you. I have lived a lifetime among you before it. Will you not reason?”
Yunus 10:17
ۚ
Who is more unjust than one who invents a lie about The God or denies His signs? The guilty do not succeed.
Yunus 10:18
ۚ ۚ
They worship apart from The God what neither harms nor benefits them, and say, “These are our intercessors with The God.” Say, “Are you informing The God of something He does not know in the heavens or on earth?” Glory be to Him, exalted above what they associate as partners.
Yunus 10:19
ۚ
People were only one community, then they differed. Had a word from your Lord not preceded, judgment would have been made between them concerning what they differ about.
Yunus 10:20
ۖ
They say, “Why has a sign from his Lord not been sent down upon him?” Say, “The unseen belongs only to The God. Wait, then; I am waiting with you.”
Yunus 10:21
ۚ ۚ
When We let people taste mercy after hardship has touched them, they suddenly scheme against Our signs. Say, “The God is swifter in planning.” Our messengers record what you scheme.
Yunus 10:22
ۖ ۙ
He is the One who enables you to travel on land and sea. When you are in ships, and they sail with them in a pleasant wind and they rejoice in it, a violent wind comes upon them and waves reach them from every side. They think they are surrounded and call upon The God, devoting religion sincerely to Him: “If You save us from this, we will surely be among the grateful.”
Yunus 10:23
ۗ ۖ ۖ
When He saves them, they suddenly transgress on the earth without right. People, your transgression is only against yourselves—the enjoyment of the worldly life. Then to Us is your return, and We will inform you of what you used to do.
Yunus 10:24
ۚ
The likeness of the worldly life is only like water We send down from the sky, with which the earth’s vegetation mingles, from which people and livestock eat. When the earth takes on its adornment and is beautified, and its people think they have power over it, Our command comes upon it by night or day, and We make it a harvest cut down, as though it had not flourished yesterday. Thus We set out the signs in detail for people who reflect.
Yunus 10:25
The God calls to the abode of peace and guides whomever He wills to a straight path.
Yunus 10:26
ۖ ۚ ۖ
For those who do good is the best and an increase. Neither darkness nor humiliation covers their faces. They are companions of the Garden, remaining in it.
Yunus 10:27
ۖ ۖ ۚ ۖ
For those who earn evil deeds, the recompense of an evil deed is its like, and humiliation covers them. They have no protector against The God. It is as though their faces have been covered with pieces of a dark night. They are companions of the Fire, remaining in it.
Yunus 10:28
ۚ ۖ
On the day We gather them all, We will say to those who associated partners, “Stay in your place, you and your partners.” We will separate them, and their partners will say, “It was not us you worshipped.”
Yunus 10:29
The God is sufficient as a witness between us and you. We were unaware of your worship.
Yunus 10:30
ۚ ۖ
There every soul will experience what it sent ahead. They will be returned to The God, their true protector, and what they used to invent will vanish from them.
Yunus 10:31
ۚ ۚ
Say, “Who provides for you from the sky and the earth? Who possesses hearing and sight? Who brings the living out of the dead and the dead out of the living? Who directs the affair?” They will say, “The God.” Say, “Will you not be mindful?”
Yunus 10:32
ۖ ۖ
That is The God, your true Lord. What is there beyond truth except error? How, then, are you turned away?
Yunus 10:33
Thus your Lord’s word has come true concerning those who defied: they do not believe.
Yunus 10:34
ۚ ۖ
Say, “Is there any among your partners who begins creation, then repeats it?” Say, “The God begins creation, then repeats it. How, then, are you turned away?”
Yunus 10:35
ۚ ۗ ۖ
Say, “Is there any among your partners who guides to the truth?” Say, “The God guides to the truth. Is one who guides to the truth more worthy of being followed, or one who cannot find the way unless guided? What is the matter with you? How do you judge?”
Yunus 10:36
ۚ ۚ
Most of them follow only conjecture. Conjecture avails nothing against the truth. The God knows what they do.
Yunus 10:37
This Qur’an could not have been fabricated apart from The God. It is a confirmation of what is before it and a detailed exposition of the Book, in which there is no doubt, from the Lord of the worlds.
Yunus 10:38
ۖ
Or do they say, “He fabricated it”? Say, “Then bring a surah like it and call upon whoever you can apart from The God, if you are truthful.”
Yunus 10:39
ۚ ۖ
They denied what they had not encompassed in knowledge and whose unfolding had not yet come to them. Those before them denied in the same way. Look, then, at how the unjust ended.
Yunus 10:40
ۚ
Among them are those who believe in it and those who do not believe in it. Your Lord knows best the corrupters.
Yunus 10:41
ۖ
If they deny you, say, “My deeds are mine, and your deeds are yours. You are free of what I do, and I am free of what you do.”
Yunus 10:42
ۚ
Among them are those who listen to you. Can you make the deaf hear, even though they do not reason?
Yunus 10:43
ۚ
Among them are those who look at you. Can you guide the blind, even though they do not see?
Yunus 10:44
The God does not wrong people at all, but people wrong themselves.
Yunus 10:45
ۚ
On the day He gathers them, it will be as though they had remained only an hour of the day, recognizing one another. Those who denied the meeting with The God have lost and were not guided.
Yunus 10:46
Whether We show you some of what We promise them or take you in death, to Us is their return. Then The God is a witness over what they do.
Yunus 10:47
ۖ
For every community there is a messenger. When their messenger comes, judgment is made between them with justice, and they are not wronged.
Yunus 10:48
They say, “When will this promise be, if you are truthful?”
Yunus 10:49
ۗ ۚ ۖ
Say, “I possess no harm or benefit for myself except what The God wills. Every community has a term. When their term comes, they cannot delay it by an hour or bring it forward.”
Yunus 10:50
Say, “Consider: if His punishment comes upon you by night or day, what part of it do the guilty seek to hasten?”
Yunus 10:51
ۚ
Will you then believe in it once it has occurred? Now, when you used to seek to hasten it?
Yunus 10:52
Then those who did wrong will be told, “Taste the lasting punishment. Are you recompensed for anything other than what you used to earn?”
Yunus 10:53
ۖ ۖ
They ask you, “Is it true?” Say, “Yes, by my Lord, it is true, and you cannot escape.”
Yunus 10:54
ۗ ۖ ۚ
If every soul that had done wrong possessed all that is on earth, it would offer it as ransom. They conceal their regret when they see the punishment. Judgment is made between them with justice, and they are not wronged.
Yunus 10:55
ۗ
Indeed, whatever is in the heavens and the earth belongs to The God. Indeed, the promise of The God is true, but most of them do not know.
Yunus 10:56
He gives life and causes death, and to Him you will be returned.
Yunus 10:57
People, an admonition from your Lord has come to you, a healing for what is in the breasts, and guidance and mercy for the believers.
Yunus 10:58
Say, “In the bounty of The God and His mercy—in that let them rejoice. It is better than what they gather.”
Yunus 10:59
ۖ
Say, “Consider the provision The God has sent down for you, of which you have made some forbidden and some lawful.” Say, “Has The God given you permission, or do you invent lies about The God?”
Yunus 10:60
ۗ
What do those who invent lies about The God think of the Day of Resurrection? The God has bounty toward people, but most of them do not give thanks.
Yunus 10:61
ۚ
You are engaged in no affair, recite no portion of Qur’an from it, and do no deed without Our being witnesses over you as you enter into it. Nothing of an atom’s weight on earth or in heaven escapes your Lord, nor anything smaller or greater, except that it is in a clear Book.
Yunus 10:62
Indeed, the friends of The God have no fear upon them, nor do they grieve—
Yunus 10:63
Those who believe and are mindful.
Yunus 10:64
ۚ ۚ
For them is good news in the worldly life and in the Hereafter. There is no changing the words of The God. That is the great triumph.
Yunus 10:65
ۘ ۚ
Do not let their words grieve you. All might belongs to The God. He is the Hearing, the Knowing.
Yunus 10:66
ۗ ۚ
Indeed, whoever is in the heavens and whoever is on earth belongs to The God. What do those who call upon partners apart from The God follow? They follow only conjecture and do nothing but guess.
Yunus 10:67
ۚ
He is the One who made the night for you to rest in and the day giving sight. In that are signs for people who hear.
Yunus 10:68
ۗ ۖ ۖ ۚ ۚ
They say, “The God has taken a child.” Glory be to Him! He is the Self-Sufficient. Whatever is in the heavens and the earth belongs to Him. You have no authority for this. Do you say about The God what you do not know?
Yunus 10:69
Say, “Those who invent lies about The God do not succeed.”
Yunus 10:70
An enjoyment in this world; then to Us is their return. Then We will make them taste the severe punishment for their disbelief.
Yunus 10:71
Recite to them the news of Noah, when he said to his people, “My people, if my staying among you and my reminding you of the signs of The God weigh heavily upon you, I have relied on The God. Settle your plan, together with your partners, and let your affair be no uncertainty to you. Then carry it out against me and give me no respite.”
Yunus 10:72
ۖ ۖ
If you turn away, I have asked no reward of you. My reward rests only with The God, and I have been commanded to be among those who submit.
Yunus 10:73
ۖ
They denied him, so We saved him and those with him in the ship, made them successors, and drowned those who denied Our signs. Look, then, at how those who were warned ended.
Yunus 10:74
ۚ
Then, after him, We sent messengers to their people. They came to them with clear proofs, but they would not believe in what they had denied before. Thus We seal the hearts of the transgressors.
Yunus 10:75
Then, after them, We sent Moses and Aaron with Our signs to Pharaoh and his chiefs. They were arrogant and were a guilty people.
Yunus 10:76
When the truth came to them from Us, they said, “This is clear magic.”
Yunus 10:77
ۖ
Moses said, “Do you say this about the truth when it has come to you? Is this magic? Magicians do not succeed.”
Yunus 10:78
They said, “Have you come to turn us away from what we found our fathers following, so that greatness in the land may belong to you two? We will not believe you two.”
Yunus 10:79
Pharaoh said, “Bring me every learned magician.”
Yunus 10:80
When the magicians came, Moses said to them, “Throw whatever you are going to throw.”
Yunus 10:81
ۖ ۖ
When they threw, Moses said, “What you have brought is magic. The God will nullify it. The God does not set right the work of the corrupters.”
Yunus 10:82
The God establishes the truth by His words, even if the guilty dislike it.
Yunus 10:83
ۚ
Only offspring from his people believed Moses, in fear of Pharaoh and their chiefs, lest he persecute them. Pharaoh was exalted in the land and was among the excessive.
Yunus 10:84
Moses said, “My people, if you believe in The God, rely on Him, if you submit.”
Yunus 10:85
They said, “On The God we have relied. Our Lord, do not make us a trial for the unjust people.”
Yunus 10:86
And save us by Your mercy from the disbelieving people.
Yunus 10:87
ۗ
We revealed to Moses and his brother, “Settle your people in houses in Egypt, make your houses a direction of prayer, and establish prayer. Give good news to the believers.”
Yunus 10:88
ۖ
Moses said, “Our Lord, You have given Pharaoh and his chiefs adornment and wealth in the worldly life, our Lord, so that they lead astray from Your way. Our Lord, obliterate their wealth and harden their hearts, so that they do not believe until they see the painful punishment.”
Yunus 10:89
He said, “Your prayer has been answered, both of you. Remain upright, and do not follow the way of those who do not know.”
Yunus 10:90
ۖ
We brought the Children of Israel across the sea, and Pharaoh and his troops pursued them in transgression and hostility. When drowning overtook him, he said, “I believe that there is no god except the One in whom the Children of Israel believe, and I am among those who submit.”
Yunus 10:91
Now? When you disobeyed before and were among the corrupters!
Yunus 10:92
ۚ
Today We will save you in your body so that you may be a sign for those after you. Many people are heedless of Our signs.
Yunus 10:93
ۚ
We settled the Children of Israel in a true dwelling and provided them with good things. They did not differ until knowledge came to them. Your Lord will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection concerning what they differed about.
Yunus 10:94
ۚ
If you are in doubt about what We have sent down to you, ask those who read the Book before you. The truth has come to you from your Lord, so do not be among the doubters.
Yunus 10:95
Do not be among those who deny the signs of The God, lest you become one of the losers.
Yunus 10:96
Those against whom your Lord’s word has come true will not believe,
Yunus 10:97
Even if every sign comes to them, until they see the painful punishment.
Yunus 10:98
Why was there no town that believed and benefited from its faith, except the people of Jonah? When they believed, We removed from them the punishment of disgrace in the worldly life and gave them enjoyment for a time.
Yunus 10:99
ۚ
Had your Lord willed, everyone on earth would have believed, all together. Will you then compel people until they become believers?
Yunus 10:100
ۚ
No soul can believe except by the permission of The God. He places defilement upon those who do not reason.
Yunus 10:101
ۚ
Say, “Look at what is in the heavens and the earth.” Signs and warnings do not avail people who do not believe.
Yunus 10:102
ۚ
Do they await anything but the like of the days of those who passed before them? Say, “Wait, then; I am waiting with you.”
Yunus 10:103
ۚ
Then We save Our messengers and those who believe. Thus it is binding upon Us to save the believers.
Yunus 10:104
ۖ
Say, “People, if you are in doubt about my religion, I do not worship those you worship apart from The God. I worship The God, who takes you in death, and I have been commanded to be among the believers.”
Yunus 10:105
And, “Set your face toward the religion, inclining to truth, and do not be among the associators.”
Yunus 10:106
ۖ
Do not call upon, apart from The God, what neither benefits nor harms you. If you do, you will be among the unjust.
Yunus 10:107
ۖ ۚ ۚ
If The God touches you with harm, none can remove it except Him. If He intends good for you, none can repel His bounty. He grants it to whomever He wills among His servants. He is the Forgiving, the Merciful.
Yunus 10:108
ۖ ۖ ۖ
Say, “People, the truth has come to you from your Lord. Whoever follows guidance does so only for himself, and whoever goes astray does so only against himself. I am not a guardian over you.”
Yunus 10:109
ۚ
Follow what is revealed to you, and be patient until The God judges. He is the best of judges.
