In the name of The God, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.
Al-Ankabut 29:1
Alif, Lam, Mim.
Al-Ankabut 29:2
Do people think they will be left to say, We believe, without being tested?
Al-Ankabut 29:3
ۖ
We tested those before them. The God will surely know those who are truthful, and He will surely know the liars.
Al-Ankabut 29:4
ۚ
Or do those who do evil think they will outrun Us? How badly they judge.
Al-Ankabut 29:5
ۚ
Whoever hopes to meet The God—the God’s appointed time is surely coming. And He is the Hearing, the Knowing.
Al-Ankabut 29:6
ۚ
Whoever strives, strives only for himself. The God is independent of all worlds.
Al-Ankabut 29:7
Those who believe and do righteous deeds—We will surely remove their evil deeds from them and reward them according to the best of what they used to do.
Al-Ankabut 29:8
ۖ ۚ
We enjoined the human being to treat his parents well. But if they strive to make you associate with Me what you have no knowledge of, do not obey them. To Me is your return, and I will tell you what you used to do.
Al-Ankabut 29:9
Those who believe and do righteous deeds—We will surely admit them among the righteous.
Al-Ankabut 29:10
ۚ
Among people is one who says: We believe in The God. But when he is harmed for The God, he treats people’s trial as the punishment of The God. If help comes from your Lord, they will surely say: We were with you. Does The God not know best what is in the breasts of all worlds?
Al-Ankabut 29:11
The God will surely know those who believe, and He will surely know the hypocrites.
Al-Ankabut 29:12
ۖ
Those who disbelieve say to those who believe: Follow our way, and let us carry your faults. Yet they will carry none of their faults. They are liars.
Al-Ankabut 29:13
ۖ
They will surely carry their own burdens and other burdens along with them, and on the Day of Resurrection they will be questioned about what they used to invent.
Al-Ankabut 29:14
We sent Noah to his people, and he remained among them a thousand years less fifty years. Then the flood seized them while they were doing wrong.
Al-Ankabut 29:15
We saved him and the companions of the ship, and made it a sign for all worlds.
Al-Ankabut 29:16
ۖ
And Abraham, when he said to his people: Worship The God and be mindful of Him. That is better for you, if you know.
Al-Ankabut 29:17
ۚ ۖ
You worship only idols apart from The God and fabricate a falsehood. Those you worship apart from The God possess no provision for you. So seek provision with The God, worship Him, and give thanks to Him. To Him you will be returned.
Al-Ankabut 29:18
ۖ
If you deny, communities before you also denied. The messenger is responsible only for clear delivery.
Al-Ankabut 29:19
ۚ
Have they not seen how The God begins creation, then repeats it? That is easy for The God.
Al-Ankabut 29:20
ۚ ۚ
Say: Travel through the earth and see how He began creation. Then The God will bring forth the final creation. The God has power over everything.
Al-Ankabut 29:21
ۖ
He punishes whom He wills and has mercy on whom He wills. And to Him you will be returned.
Al-Ankabut 29:22
ۖ
You cannot frustrate Him on earth or in heaven. Apart from The God, you have no protector or helper.
Al-Ankabut 29:23
Those who reject The God’s signs and meeting Him have despaired of My mercy, and they will have a painful punishment.
Al-Ankabut 29:24
ۚ
His people’s only answer was to say: Kill him or burn him. Then The God saved him from the fire. There are indeed signs in this for people who believe.
Al-Ankabut 29:25
ۖ
He said: You have taken idols apart from The God only for affection among yourselves in worldly life. Then, on the Day of Resurrection, you will deny and curse one another. Your refuge will be the Fire, and you will have no helpers.
Al-Ankabut 29:26
ۘ ۖ
Lot believed him, and he said: I am migrating to my Lord. He is the Mighty, the Wise.
Al-Ankabut 29:27
ۖ
We granted him Isaac and Jacob, placed prophethood and the Book among his descendants, and gave him his reward in this world. In the Hereafter he is among the righteous.
Al-Ankabut 29:28
And Lot, when he said to his people: You commit an indecency that no one among all peoples has committed before you.
Al-Ankabut 29:29
ۖ
Do you approach men, cut off the road, and commit wrongdoing in your assembly? His people’s only answer was to say: Bring us The God’s punishment, if you are truthful.
Al-Ankabut 29:30
He said: My Lord, help me against the corrupting people.
Al-Ankabut 29:31
ۖ
When Our messengers came to Abraham with good news, they said: We will destroy the people of this settlement. Its people have been wrongdoers.
Al-Ankabut 29:32
ۚ ۖ
He said: Lot is in it. They said: We know best who is in it. We will save him and his family, except his wife, who was among those who remained.
Al-Ankabut 29:33
ۖ
When Our messengers came to Lot, he was distressed and felt constrained on their account. They said: Do not fear or grieve. We will save you and your family, except your wife, who was among those who remained.
Al-Ankabut 29:34
We will send down a punishment from the sky upon the people of this settlement because they have been defiantly disobedient.
Al-Ankabut 29:35
We left from it a clear sign for people who use reason.
Al-Ankabut 29:36
And to Midian, their brother Shuayb. He said: My people, worship The God, look forward to the Last Day, and do not act corruptly in the earth, spreading disorder.
Al-Ankabut 29:37
They denied him, and the quake seized them, leaving them fallen in their dwelling.
Al-Ankabut 29:38
ۖ
And Aad and Thamud; it has become clear to you from their dwellings. Satan adorned their deeds for them and barred them from the way, though they had insight.
Al-Ankabut 29:39
ۖ
And Qarun, Pharaoh, and Haman. Moses came to them with clear proofs, but they behaved arrogantly in the land and could not outrun Us.
Al-Ankabut 29:40
ۖ ۚ
We seized each for his sin. Upon some We sent a stone-bearing storm; some were seized by the cry; some We made the earth swallow; and some We drowned. The God was not wronging them, but they were wronging themselves.
Al-Ankabut 29:41
ۖ ۖ
The likeness of those who take protectors apart from The God is that of the spider that made a house. The frailest of houses is the spider’s house, if they knew.
Al-Ankabut 29:42
ۚ
The God knows whatever they call upon apart from Him. He is the Mighty, the Wise.
Al-Ankabut 29:43
ۖ
We set forth these comparisons for people, but only those with knowledge understand them.
Al-Ankabut 29:44
ۚ
The God created the heavens and the earth in truth. There is indeed a sign in this for the believers.
Al-Ankabut 29:45
ۖ ۗ ۗ
Recite what has been revealed to you of the Book and establish prayer. Prayer restrains indecency and wrongdoing, and remembrance of The God is greater. The God knows what you do.
Al-Ankabut 29:46
ۖ
Do not dispute with the People of the Book except in the best manner, apart from those among them who do wrong. Say: We believe in what was sent down to us and what was sent down to you. Our god and your god are one, and we submit to Him.
Al-Ankabut 29:47
ۚ ۖ ۚ
Thus We sent down the Book to you. Those to whom We have given the Book believe in it, and among these are some who believe in it. None reject Our signs except the disbelievers.
Al-Ankabut 29:48
ۖ
Before it, you did not recite any book, nor write it with your right hand. Otherwise, those who pursue falsehood would have doubted.
Al-Ankabut 29:49
ۚ
Rather, it is clear signs in the breasts of those given knowledge. None reject Our signs except the wrongdoers.
Al-Ankabut 29:50
ۖ
They said: Why have signs not been sent down to him from his Lord? Say: The signs are only with The God, and I am only a clear warner.
Al-Ankabut 29:51
ۚ
Is it not enough for them that We sent down to you the Book, which is recited to them? There is indeed mercy and a reminder in this for people who believe.
Al-Ankabut 29:52
ۖ ۗ
Say: The God is sufficient as a witness between me and you. He knows what is in the heavens and the earth. Those who believe in falsehood and disbelieve in The God are the losers.
Al-Ankabut 29:53
ۚ
They ask you to hasten the punishment. Were it not for an appointed term, the punishment would have come to them. It will surely come upon them suddenly, while they are unaware.
Al-Ankabut 29:54
They ask you to hasten the punishment, while Hell surrounds the disbelievers,
Al-Ankabut 29:55
The day the punishment covers them from above and from beneath their feet, and He says: Taste what you used to do.
Al-Ankabut 29:56
My servants who believe, My earth is spacious, so worship Me alone.
Al-Ankabut 29:57
ۖ
Every soul will taste death. Then to Us you will be returned.
Al-Ankabut 29:58
ۚ
Those who believe and do righteous deeds—We will settle them in chambers of the Garden beneath which rivers flow, remaining there forever. How excellent is the reward of those who work,
Al-Ankabut 29:59
Who are patient and rely upon their Lord.
Al-Ankabut 29:60
ۚ
How many a creature does not carry its own provision. The God provides for it and for you. He is the Hearing, the Knowing.
Al-Ankabut 29:61
ۖ
If you ask them who created the heavens and the earth and subjected the sun and the moon, they will surely say: The God. How then are they turned away?
Al-Ankabut 29:62
ۚ
The God expands provision for whom He wills of His servants and restricts it for him. The God knows everything.
Al-Ankabut 29:63
ۚ ۚ
If you ask them who sent water down from the sky and brought the earth to life with it after its death, they will surely say: The God. Say: Praise belongs to The God. But most of them do not use reason.
Al-Ankabut 29:64
ۚ ۚ
This worldly life is only amusement and play. The abode of the Hereafter is truly life, if they knew.
Al-Ankabut 29:65
When they board a ship, they call upon The God, devoting their religion sincerely to Him. But when He saves them to dry land, they associate partners,
Al-Ankabut 29:66
ۖ
To be ungrateful for what We have given them, and to enjoy themselves. They will soon know.
Al-Ankabut 29:67
ۚ
Have they not seen that We made a secure sanctuary, while people are snatched away around them? Do they believe in falsehood and deny The God’s favor?
Al-Ankabut 29:68
ۚ
Who is more unjust than one who invents a lie about The God or denies the truth when it comes to him? Is there not a dwelling in Hell for the disbelievers?
Al-Ankabut 29:69
ۚ
Those who strive for Us—We will surely guide them to Our ways. The God is with those who do good.
