·The Prostration·30 Verses

In the name of The God, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.

As-Sajdah 32:1

Alif, Lam, Mim.

As-Sajdah 32:2

The sending down of the Book, in which there is no doubt, is from the Lord of the worlds.

As-Sajdah 32:3

ۚ

Or do they say: He has fabricated it? Rather, it is the truth from your Lord, so that you may warn a people to whom no warner came before you, so that they may be guided.

As-Sajdah 32:4

ۖ ۚ

The God is the One who created the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them in six days, then established Himself upon the Throne. You have no guardian or intercessor besides Him. Will you not then take heed?

As-Sajdah 32:5

He directs the affair from heaven to earth; then it ascends to Him in a day whose measure is a thousand years of what you count.

As-Sajdah 32:6

That is the Knower of the unseen and the witnessed, the Mighty, the Merciful,

As-Sajdah 32:7

ۖ

the One who made good everything He created, and began the creation of the human being from clay,

As-Sajdah 32:8

then made his descendants from an extract of a lowly fluid,

As-Sajdah 32:9

ۖ ۚ

then fashioned him and breathed into him of His spirit, and made for you hearing, sight, and hearts. Little do you give thanks.

As-Sajdah 32:10

ۚ

And they said: When we are lost in the earth, will we indeed be in a new creation? Rather, they disbelieve in the meeting with their Lord.

As-Sajdah 32:11

Say: The angel of death who has been entrusted with you will take you in full; then you will be returned to your Lord.

As-Sajdah 32:12

And if you could see when the offenders hang their heads before their Lord: Our Lord, we have seen and heard, so return us, and we will do righteousness. Indeed, we are certain.

As-Sajdah 32:13

And if We had willed, We would have given every soul its guidance. But the word from Me has come true: I will surely fill Hell with jinn and people together.

As-Sajdah 32:14

ۖ

So taste, because you forgot the meeting of this day of yours; We have forgotten you. And taste the everlasting punishment for what you used to do.

As-Sajdah 32:15

۩

Only those believe in Our signs who, when reminded of them, fall down prostrating and glorify their Lord with praise, and are not arrogant.

As-Sajdah 32:16

Their sides draw away from their beds; they call upon their Lord in fear and hope, and spend from what We have provided them.

As-Sajdah 32:17

So no soul knows what delight of the eyes has been hidden for them as a reward for what they used to do.

As-Sajdah 32:18

ۚ

Is one who is a believer like one who is defiantly disobedient? They are not equal.

As-Sajdah 32:19

As for those who believed and did righteous deeds, they will have gardens of refuge as hospitality for what they used to do.

As-Sajdah 32:20

ۖ

But as for those who were defiantly disobedient, their refuge is the Fire. Whenever they want to leave it, they are returned to it, and it is said to them: Taste the punishment of the Fire which you used to deny.

As-Sajdah 32:21

And We will surely make them taste the nearer punishment before the greater punishment, so that they may return.

As-Sajdah 32:22

ۚ

And who is more unjust than one who is reminded of his Lord’s signs, then turns away from them? Indeed, We will take retribution from the offenders.

As-Sajdah 32:23

ۖ

And We certainly gave Moses the Book, so be in no doubt about meeting it; and We made it guidance for the Children of Israel.

As-Sajdah 32:24

ۖ

And We made among them leaders who guided by Our command when they were patient and were certain of Our signs.

As-Sajdah 32:25

Indeed, your Lord will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection concerning what they used to differ about.

As-Sajdah 32:26

ۚ ۖ

Has it not become clear to them how many generations We destroyed before them, in whose dwellings they walk? Indeed, in that are signs. Will they not then hear?

As-Sajdah 32:27

ۖ

Have they not seen that We drive water to barren land and bring forth crops with it, from which their livestock and they themselves eat? Will they not then see?

As-Sajdah 32:28

And they say: When will this opening be, if you are truthful?

As-Sajdah 32:29

Say: On the day of the opening, the faith of those who disbelieved will not benefit them, nor will they be granted respite.

As-Sajdah 32:30

So turn away from them and wait; indeed, they too are waiting.
