In the name of The God, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.
Al-Qamar 54:1
The Hour drew near, and the moon split.
Al-Qamar 54:2
If they see a sign, they turn away and say, “An ongoing magic.”
Al-Qamar 54:3
ۚ
They denied and followed their desires; and every matter has its settlement.
Al-Qamar 54:4
Reports containing a deterrent have already reached them.
Al-Qamar 54:5
ۖ
Far-reaching wisdom; yet what do the warnings avail?
Al-Qamar 54:6
ۘ
So turn away from them. On the day the caller calls to something dreadful,
Al-Qamar 54:7
they will emerge from the graves with downcast eyes, as though they were scattered locusts,
Al-Qamar 54:8
ۖ
hurrying toward the caller. The disbelievers will say, “This is a difficult day.”
Al-Qamar 54:9
Before them, Noah’s people denied. They called Our servant a liar and said, “He is mad,” and he was driven away.
Al-Qamar 54:10
Then he called upon his Lord: “I am overcome, so come to my aid.”
Al-Qamar 54:11
So We opened the gates of the sky with pouring water,
Al-Qamar 54:12
and made the earth burst into springs. The waters then met for a matter already determined.
Al-Qamar 54:13
We carried him on something made of planks and nails,
Al-Qamar 54:14
sailing under Our eyes, a recompense for one who had been rejected.
Al-Qamar 54:15
We left it as a sign. Is there, then, anyone who will take heed?
Al-Qamar 54:16
How, then, were My punishment and My warnings?
Al-Qamar 54:17
We have made the Quran easy for remembrance. Is there, then, anyone who will take heed?
Al-Qamar 54:18
Ad denied. How, then, were My punishment and My warnings?
Al-Qamar 54:19
We sent upon them a fierce, cold wind on a day of continuing misfortune,
Al-Qamar 54:20
tearing people away as though they were uprooted palm trunks.
Al-Qamar 54:21
How, then, were My punishment and My warnings?
Al-Qamar 54:22
We have made the Quran easy for remembrance. Is there, then, anyone who will take heed?
Al-Qamar 54:23
Thamud denied the warnings.
Al-Qamar 54:24
They said, “Are we to follow a single human from among us? Then we would be in error and madness.
Al-Qamar 54:25
Has the reminder been cast upon him from among us? Rather, he is an insolent liar.”
Al-Qamar 54:26
Tomorrow they will know who the insolent liar is.
Al-Qamar 54:27
We are sending the she-camel as a trial for them. So watch them and be patient.
Al-Qamar 54:28

Tell them that the water is divided among them; each drinking turn is to be attended.
Al-Qamar 54:29
They called their companion, and he undertook it and hamstrung her.
Al-Qamar 54:30
How, then, were My punishment and My warnings?
Al-Qamar 54:31
We sent a single blast upon them, and they became like the dry brushwood of a maker of enclosures.
Al-Qamar 54:32
We have made the Quran easy for remembrance. Is there, then, anyone who will take heed?
Al-Qamar 54:33
Lot’s people denied the warnings.
Al-Qamar 54:34

We sent a stone-bearing storm upon them, except Lot’s family, whom We rescued before dawn,
Al-Qamar 54:35
ۚ
as a favor from Us. This is how We reward whoever gives thanks.
Al-Qamar 54:36
He had warned them of Our onslaught, but they disputed the warnings.
Al-Qamar 54:37
They sought his guests from him, so We obliterated their eyes: “Taste My punishment and My warnings.”
Al-Qamar 54:38
Early in the morning, an enduring punishment came upon them.
Al-Qamar 54:39
So taste My punishment and My warnings.
Al-Qamar 54:40
We have made the Quran easy for remembrance. Is there, then, anyone who will take heed?
Al-Qamar 54:41
The warnings also came to Pharaoh’s people.
Al-Qamar 54:42
They denied all Our signs, so We seized them with the seizure of one mighty and fully able.
Al-Qamar 54:43
Are your disbelievers better than those, or do you have an acquittal in the scriptures?
Al-Qamar 54:44
Or do they say, “We are a victorious company”?
Al-Qamar 54:45
The company will be defeated, and they will turn their backs.
Al-Qamar 54:46
Rather, the Hour is their appointed time, and the Hour is more grievous and more bitter.
Al-Qamar 54:47
Indeed, the guilty are in error and blazing fires.
Al-Qamar 54:48
On the day they are dragged on their faces through the Fire: “Taste the touch of Saqar.”
Al-Qamar 54:49
We have created everything according to a measure.
Al-Qamar 54:50
Our command is only one, like a glance of the eye.
Al-Qamar 54:51
We have destroyed those of your kind. Is there, then, anyone who will take heed?
Al-Qamar 54:52
Everything they have done is in the records.
Al-Qamar 54:53
Every small and great thing is written down.
Al-Qamar 54:54
Indeed, the mindful are amid gardens and rivers,
Al-Qamar 54:55
in a seat of truth, with a sovereign fully able.
