بِسمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحمٰنِ الرَّحيمِ

In the name of The God, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.

Al-Hashr 59:1

سَبَّحَ لِلَّهِ ما فِى السَّمٰوٰتِ وَما فِى الأَرضِ ۖ وَهُوَ العَزيزُ الحَكيمُ

Whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth has glorified The God; He is the Mighty, the Wise.

Al-Hashr 59:2

هُوَ الَّذى أَخرَجَ الَّذينَ كَفَروا مِن أَهلِ الكِتٰبِ مِن دِيٰرِهِم لِأَوَّلِ الحَشرِ ۚ ما ظَنَنتُم أَن يَخرُجوا ۖ وَظَنّوا أَنَّهُم مانِعَتُهُم حُصونُهُم مِنَ اللَّهِ فَأَتىٰهُمُ اللَّهُ مِن حَيثُ لَم يَحتَسِبوا ۖ وَقَذَفَ فى قُلوبِهِمُ الرُّعبَ ۚ يُخرِبونَ بُيوتَهُم بِأَيديهِم وَأَيدِى المُؤمِنينَ فَاعتَبِروا يٰأُولِى الأَبصٰرِ

He is the one who expelled those of the People of the Book who disbelieved from their homes at the first gathering. You did not think they would leave, and they thought their fortresses would protect them against The God. Then The God came upon them from where they had not reckoned and cast terror into their hearts. They demolished their houses with their own hands and the hands of the believers. So take heed, you who have insight.

Al-Hashr 59:3

وَلَولا أَن كَتَبَ اللَّهُ عَلَيهِمُ الجَلاءَ لَعَذَّبَهُم فِى الدُّنيا ۖ وَلَهُم فِى الـٔاخِرَةِ عَذابُ النّارِ

Had The God not prescribed exile for them, He would have punished them in this world; in the Hereafter they have the punishment of the Fire.

Al-Hashr 59:4

ذٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُم شاقُّوا اللَّهَ وَرَسولَهُ ۖ وَمَن يُشاقِّ اللَّهَ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ شَديدُ العِقابِ

That is because they opposed The God and His messenger. Whoever opposes The God—The God is severe in punishment.

Al-Hashr 59:5

ما قَطَعتُم مِن لينَةٍ أَو تَرَكتُموها قائِمَةً عَلىٰ أُصولِها فَبِإِذنِ اللَّهِ وَلِيُخزِىَ الفٰسِقينَ

Whatever palm tree you cut down or left standing on its roots was by the permission of The God, and so that He might disgrace the defiantly disobedient.

Al-Hashr 59:6

وَما أَفاءَ اللَّهُ عَلىٰ رَسولِهِ مِنهُم فَما أَوجَفتُم عَلَيهِ مِن خَيلٍ وَلا رِكابٍ وَلٰكِنَّ اللَّهَ يُسَلِّطُ رُسُلَهُ عَلىٰ مَن يَشاءُ ۚ وَاللَّهُ عَلىٰ كُلِّ شَىءٍ قَديرٌ

Whatever The God restored to His messenger from them, you spurred neither horse nor camel for it. But The God gives His messengers authority over whomever He wills; The God is able to do all things.

Al-Hashr 59:7

ما أَفاءَ اللَّهُ عَلىٰ رَسولِهِ مِن أَهلِ القُرىٰ فَلِلَّهِ وَلِلرَّسولِ وَلِذِى القُربىٰ وَاليَتٰمىٰ وَالمَسٰكينِ وَابنِ السَّبيلِ كَى لا يَكونَ دولَةً بَينَ الأَغنِياءِ مِنكُم ۚ وَما ءاتىٰكُمُ الرَّسولُ فَخُذوهُ وَما نَهىٰكُم عَنهُ فَانتَهوا ۚ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ ۖ إِنَّ اللَّهَ شَديدُ العِقابِ

Whatever The God restored to His messenger from the people of the towns belongs to The God, the messenger, relatives, orphans, the needy, and the traveler, so that it does not circulate only among the wealthy among you. Take what the messenger gives you, and refrain from what he forbids you. Be mindful of The God; The God is severe in punishment.

Al-Hashr 59:8

لِلفُقَراءِ المُهٰجِرينَ الَّذينَ أُخرِجوا مِن دِيٰرِهِم وَأَموٰلِهِم يَبتَغونَ فَضلًا مِنَ اللَّهِ وَرِضوٰنًا وَيَنصُرونَ اللَّهَ وَرَسولَهُ ۚ أُولٰئِكَ هُمُ الصّٰدِقونَ

For the poor emigrants who were expelled from their homes and possessions, seeking bounty and approval from The God and helping The God and His messenger: they are the truthful.

Al-Hashr 59:9

وَالَّذينَ تَبَوَّءُو الدّارَ وَالإيمٰنَ مِن قَبلِهِم يُحِبّونَ مَن هاجَرَ إِلَيهِم وَلا يَجِدونَ فى صُدورِهِم حاجَةً مِمّا أوتوا وَيُؤثِرونَ عَلىٰ أَنفُسِهِم وَلَو كانَ بِهِم خَصاصَةٌ ۚ وَمَن يوقَ شُحَّ نَفسِهِ فَأُولٰئِكَ هُمُ المُفلِحونَ

Those who settled in the abode and in faith before them love those who emigrated to them. They find no want in their breasts for what the others have been given, and prefer them over themselves, even when they are in need. Those protected from their own greed are the successful.

Al-Hashr 59:10

وَالَّذينَ جاءو مِن بَعدِهِم يَقولونَ رَبَّنَا اغفِر لَنا وَلِإِخوٰنِنَا الَّذينَ سَبَقونا بِالإيمٰنِ وَلا تَجعَل فى قُلوبِنا غِلًّا لِلَّذينَ ءامَنوا رَبَّنا إِنَّكَ رَءوفٌ رَحيمٌ

Those who came after them say, “Our Lord, forgive us and our brothers who preceded us in faith, and place no rancor in our hearts toward those who believe. Our Lord, You are Tender and Merciful.”

Al-Hashr 59:11

أَلَم تَرَ إِلَى الَّذينَ نافَقوا يَقولونَ لِإِخوٰنِهِمُ الَّذينَ كَفَروا مِن أَهلِ الكِتٰبِ لَئِن أُخرِجتُم لَنَخرُجَنَّ مَعَكُم وَلا نُطيعُ فيكُم أَحَدًا أَبَدًا وَإِن قوتِلتُم لَنَنصُرَنَّكُم وَاللَّهُ يَشهَدُ إِنَّهُم لَكٰذِبونَ

Have you not seen the hypocrites saying to their brothers among the disbelieving People of the Book, “If you are expelled, we will certainly leave with you, and we will never obey anyone concerning you. If you are fought, we will certainly help you”? The God bears witness that they are liars.

Al-Hashr 59:12

لَئِن أُخرِجوا لا يَخرُجونَ مَعَهُم وَلَئِن قوتِلوا لا يَنصُرونَهُم وَلَئِن نَصَروهُم لَيُوَلُّنَّ الأَدبٰرَ ثُمَّ لا يُنصَرونَ

If they are expelled, they will not leave with them; if they are fought, they will not help them. Even if they help them, they will turn their backs, and then they will receive no help.

Al-Hashr 59:13

لَأَنتُم أَشَدُّ رَهبَةً فى صُدورِهِم مِنَ اللَّهِ ۚ ذٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُم قَومٌ لا يَفقَهونَ

Fear of you is stronger in their breasts than fear of The God. That is because they are a people who do not understand.

Al-Hashr 59:14

لا يُقٰتِلونَكُم جَميعًا إِلّا فى قُرًى مُحَصَّنَةٍ أَو مِن وَراءِ جُدُرٍ ۚ بَأسُهُم بَينَهُم شَديدٌ ۚ تَحسَبُهُم جَميعًا وَقُلوبُهُم شَتّىٰ ۚ ذٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُم قَومٌ لا يَعقِلونَ

They will not fight you together except in fortified towns or from behind walls. Their hostility among themselves is fierce. You think them united, while their hearts are divided. That is because they are a people who do not reason.

Al-Hashr 59:15

كَمَثَلِ الَّذينَ مِن قَبلِهِم قَريبًا ۖ ذاقوا وَبالَ أَمرِهِم وَلَهُم عَذابٌ أَليمٌ

Like those shortly before them, who tasted the consequence of their conduct; for them there is a painful punishment.

Al-Hashr 59:16

كَمَثَلِ الشَّيطٰنِ إِذ قالَ لِلإِنسٰنِ اكفُر فَلَمّا كَفَرَ قالَ إِنّى بَرىءٌ مِنكَ إِنّى أَخافُ اللَّهَ رَبَّ العٰلَمينَ

Like Satan when he said to the human being, “Disbelieve.” Then, when he disbelieved, he said, “I am free of you; I fear The God, Lord of all worlds.”

Al-Hashr 59:17

فَكانَ عٰقِبَتَهُما أَنَّهُما فِى النّارِ خٰلِدَينِ فيها ۚ وَذٰلِكَ جَزٰؤُا۟ الظّٰلِمينَ

The outcome for both was that they would be in the Fire, remaining there forever. That is the recompense of the wrongdoers.

Al-Hashr 59:18

يٰأَيُّهَا الَّذينَ ءامَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَلتَنظُر نَفسٌ ما قَدَّمَت لِغَدٍ ۖ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ خَبيرٌ بِما تَعمَلونَ

O you who believe, be mindful of The God, and let each soul consider what it has sent ahead for tomorrow. Be mindful of The God; The God is aware of what you do.

Al-Hashr 59:19

وَلا تَكونوا كَالَّذينَ نَسُوا اللَّهَ فَأَنسىٰهُم أَنفُسَهُم ۚ أُولٰئِكَ هُمُ الفٰسِقونَ

Do not be like those who forgot The God, so He made them forget themselves. They are the defiantly disobedient.

Al-Hashr 59:20

لا يَستَوى أَصحٰبُ النّارِ وَأَصحٰبُ الجَنَّةِ ۚ أَصحٰبُ الجَنَّةِ هُمُ الفائِزونَ

The companions of the Fire and the companions of the Garden are not equal. The companions of the Garden are the triumphant.

Al-Hashr 59:21

لَو أَنزَلنا هٰذَا القُرءانَ عَلىٰ جَبَلٍ لَرَأَيتَهُ خٰشِعًا مُتَصَدِّعًا مِن خَشيَةِ اللَّهِ ۚ وَتِلكَ الأَمثٰلُ نَضرِبُها لِلنّاسِ لَعَلَّهُم يَتَفَكَّرونَ

Had We sent this Quran down upon a mountain, you would have seen it humbled and split apart from fear of The God. We set forth these examples for people, so that they may reflect.

Al-Hashr 59:22

هُوَ اللَّهُ الَّذى لا إِلٰهَ إِلّا هُوَ ۖ عٰلِمُ الغَيبِ وَالشَّهٰدَةِ ۖ هُوَ الرَّحمٰنُ الرَّحيمُ

He is The God, besides whom there is no deity, Knower of the unseen and the witnessed. He is the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.

Al-Hashr 59:23

هُوَ اللَّهُ الَّذى لا إِلٰهَ إِلّا هُوَ المَلِكُ القُدّوسُ السَّلٰمُ المُؤمِنُ المُهَيمِنُ العَزيزُ الجَبّارُ المُتَكَبِّرُ ۚ سُبحٰنَ اللَّهِ عَمّا يُشرِكونَ

He is The God, besides whom there is no deity: the Sovereign, the Holy, the Source of Peace, the Giver of Security, the Guardian, the Mighty, the Compeller, the Supremely Great. Glory be to The God above what they associate with Him.

Al-Hashr 59:24

هُوَ اللَّهُ الخٰلِقُ البارِئُ المُصَوِّرُ ۖ لَهُ الأَسماءُ الحُسنىٰ ۚ يُسَبِّحُ لَهُ ما فِى السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالأَرضِ ۖ وَهُوَ العَزيزُ الحَكيمُ

He is The God, the Creator, the Originator, the Giver of Form. His are the finest names. Whatever is in the heavens and the earth glorifies Him; He is the Mighty, the Wise.
