In the name of The God, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.
Al-Ma’idah 5:1
ۚ ۗ
O you who believe, fulfill the contracts. Livestock animals are lawful for you, except what is recited to you, without treating hunting as lawful while you are in a state of consecration. Indeed, The God decrees what He wills.
Al-Ma’idah 5:2
ۚ ۚ ۘ ۖ ۚ ۖ
O you who believe, do not violate The God’s sacred signs, the sacred month, the offerings, the garlands, or those heading to the Sacred House seeking bounty from their Lord and pleasure. When you leave the state of consecration, you may hunt. Do not let hatred of a people who barred you from the Sacred Mosque lead you to transgress. Cooperate in righteousness and mindfulness, and do not cooperate in sin and aggression. Be mindful of The God; indeed, The God is severe in punishment.
Al-Ma’idah 5:3
ۚ ۗ ۚ ۚ ۙ
Forbidden to you are carrion, blood, the flesh of swine, what has been invoked for other than The God, the strangled, the beaten to death, the fallen, the gored, and what a predator has eaten—except what you slaughter—and what is slaughtered on sacrificial stones, and seeking allotments by arrows. That is disobedience. Today those who disbelieve have despaired of your religion; do not fear them, but fear Me. Today I have perfected your religion for you, completed My favor upon you, and approved submission as your religion. Whoever is compelled by hunger, without inclining to sin—indeed, The God is forgiving, merciful.
Al-Ma’idah 5:4
ۖ ۙ ۖ ۖ ۚ
They ask you what is lawful for them. Say, “Good things are lawful for you, and what you have trained of hunting animals, as trainers, teaching them from what The God has taught you. Eat from what they catch for you, and mention The God’s name over it. Be mindful of The God; indeed, The God is swift in reckoning.”
Al-Ma’idah 5:5
ۖ ۖ ۗ
Today good things are lawful for you. The food of those who were given the Book is lawful for you, and your food is lawful for them; and chaste women from the believers and chaste women from those given the Book before you, when you give them their dues, being chaste, neither fornicating nor taking secret lovers. Whoever rejects faith, his work has come to nothing, and in the Hereafter he is among the losers.
Al-Ma’idah 5:6
ۚ ۚ ۚ
O you who believe, when you rise for prayer, wash your faces and your hands to the elbows, and wipe your heads and your feet to the ankles. If you are in a state of major impurity, purify yourselves. If you are ill or on a journey, or one of you comes from relieving himself, or you have touched women and find no water, seek clean earth and wipe your faces and hands with it. The God does not wish to place hardship upon you, but wishes to purify you and complete His favor upon you, so that you may be grateful.
Al-Ma’idah 5:7
ۖ ۚ
Remember The God’s favor upon you and His covenant by which He bound you, when you said, “We hear and obey.” Be mindful of The God; indeed, The God knows what is within the breasts.
Al-Ma’idah 5:8
ۖ ۚ ۖ ۚ
O you who believe, stand firm for The God as witnesses with equity. Do not let hatred of a people lead you to be unjust. Be just; that is nearer to mindfulness. Be mindful of The God; indeed, The God is aware of what you do.
Al-Ma’idah 5:9
ۙ
The God has promised those who believe and do righteous deeds: theirs is forgiveness and a great reward.
Al-Ma’idah 5:10
Those who disbelieve and deny Our signs are the companions of the blazing Fire.
Al-Ma’idah 5:11
ۖ ۚ
O you who believe, remember The God’s favor upon you when a people intended to stretch their hands toward you, and He restrained their hands from you. Be mindful of The God, and let the believers put their trust in The God.
Al-Ma’idah 5:12
ۖ ۖ ۚ
The God took the covenant of the Children of Israel, and We raised twelve leaders from among them. The God said, “I am with you. If you establish prayer, give zakat, believe in My messengers, support them, and lend The God a good loan, I will surely remove your misdeeds from you and admit you into gardens beneath which rivers flow. Whoever among you disbelieves after that has strayed from the sound way.”
Al-Ma’idah 5:13
ۖ ۙ ۚ ۖ ۚ
For their breaking their covenant, We cursed them and made their hearts hard. They distort words from their places and forgot a portion of what they were reminded of. You will continue to discover treachery from them, except for a few of them. Pardon them and overlook; indeed, The God loves those who do good.
Al-Ma’idah 5:14
ۚ
From those who said, “We are Christians,” We took their covenant, but they forgot a portion of what they were reminded of. So We stirred up enmity and hatred among them until the Day of Resurrection. The God will inform them of what they used to do.
Al-Ma’idah 5:15
ۚ
O People of the Book, Our messenger has come to you, making clear to you much of what you used to conceal of the Book and overlooking much. A light and a clear Book have come to you from The God.
Al-Ma’idah 5:16
Through it The God guides those who follow His pleasure to ways of peace, brings them out of darkness into light by His permission, and guides them to a straight path.
Al-Ma’idah 5:17
ۚ ۗ ۚ ۚ
Those who say, “The God is the Messiah, son of Mary,” have certainly disbelieved. Say, “Who has any power against The God if He wishes to destroy the Messiah, son of Mary, his mother, and everyone on earth?” To The God belongs the dominion of the heavens, the earth, and what is between them. He creates what He wills, and The God is capable of all things.
Al-Ma’idah 5:18
ۚ ۖ ۚ ۚ ۖ
The Jews and Christians said, “We are The God’s sons and His beloved.” Say, “Why, then, does He punish you for your sins? Rather, you are human beings among those He created.” He forgives whom He wills and punishes whom He wills. To The God belongs the dominion of the heavens, the earth, and what is between them; and to Him is the destination.
Al-Ma’idah 5:19
ۖ ۗ
O People of the Book, Our messenger has come to you, making clear to you after an interval between messengers, lest you say, “No bearer of good news or warner came to us.” A bearer of good news and a warner has come to you. The God is capable of all things.
Al-Ma’idah 5:20
When Moses said to his people, “My people, remember The God’s favor upon you when He placed prophets among you, made you kings, and gave you what He had not given anyone among the worlds.
Al-Ma’idah 5:21
My people, enter the holy land which The God has prescribed for you, and do not turn back on your heels, lest you return as losers.”
Al-Ma’idah 5:22
They said, “Moses, there is a formidable people in it, and we will never enter it until they leave. If they leave it, then we will enter.”
Al-Ma’idah 5:23
ۚ
Two men from those who feared, whom The God had favored, said, “Enter against them through the gate. Once you enter it, you will prevail. Put your trust in The God, if you are believers.”
Al-Ma’idah 5:24
ۖ
They said, “Moses, we will never enter it as long as they remain there. Go, you and your Lord, and fight; we are sitting here.”
Al-Ma’idah 5:25
ۖ
He said, “My Lord, I have control only over myself and my brother. Separate us from the disobedient people.”
Al-Ma’idah 5:26
ۛ ۛ ۚ
He said, “Then it is forbidden to them for forty years; they will wander in the land. Do not grieve over the disobedient people.”
Al-Ma’idah 5:27
ۖ
Recite to them the account of Adam’s two sons in truth, when both offered an offering and it was accepted from one but not from the other. He said, “I will surely kill you.” He said, “The God accepts only from the mindful.
Al-Ma’idah 5:28
ۖ
If you stretch your hand toward me to kill me, I will not stretch my hand toward you to kill you. I fear The God, Lord of the worlds.
Al-Ma’idah 5:29
ۚ
I wish you to bear my sin and your sin and become one of the companions of the Fire. That is the recompense of the wrongdoers.”
Al-Ma’idah 5:30
His soul made killing his brother seem agreeable to him, so he killed him and became one of the losers.
Al-Ma’idah 5:31
ۚ ۖ
The God sent a raven scratching in the earth to show him how to cover his brother’s body. He said, “Woe to me! Am I unable to be like this raven and cover my brother’s body?” He became one of the regretful.
Al-Ma’idah 5:32
ۚ
Because of that, We prescribed for the Children of Israel that whoever kills a soul, other than for a soul or corruption in the earth, is as though he killed all people; and whoever saves one is as though he saved all people. Our messengers came to them with clear proofs, yet many of them afterward are excessive in the earth.
Al-Ma’idah 5:33
ۚ ۖ
The recompense of those who wage war against The God and His messenger and strive for corruption in the earth is that they be killed, crucified, have their hands and feet cut off on opposite sides, or be banished from the land. That is disgrace for them in this world, and in the Hereafter theirs is a great punishment.
Al-Ma’idah 5:34
ۖ
Except those who repent before you gain power over them. Know that The God is forgiving, merciful.
Al-Ma’idah 5:35
O you who believe, be mindful of The God, seek the means of approach to Him, and strive in His way, so that you may prosper.
Al-Ma’idah 5:36
ۖ
Those who disbelieve, even if they possessed everything in the earth and as much again to ransom themselves from the punishment of the Day of Resurrection, it would not be accepted from them. Theirs is a painful punishment.
Al-Ma’idah 5:37
ۖ
They wish to leave the Fire, but they will not leave it. Theirs is an enduring punishment.
Al-Ma’idah 5:38
ۗ
The male thief and the female thief—cut off their hands as recompense for what they have earned, an exemplary punishment from The God. The God is mighty, wise.
Al-Ma’idah 5:39
ۗ
Whoever repents after his wrongdoing and makes amends, The God turns to him. Indeed, The God is forgiving, merciful.
Al-Ma’idah 5:40
ۗ
Do you not know that to The God belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth? He punishes whom He wills and forgives whom He wills. The God is capable of all things.
Al-Ma’idah 5:41
ۛ ۛ ۖ ۖ ۚ ۚ ۚ ۖ
O messenger, do not be grieved by those who hasten into disbelief, from those who say with their mouths, “We believe,” while their hearts do not believe, and from those who became Jews: avid listeners to lies, listeners to other people who have not come to you. They distort words after their placement, saying, “If you are given this, take it; if you are not given it, beware.” Whoever The God wishes to put to trial, you have no power for him against The God. Those are the ones whose hearts The God has not wished to purify. Theirs is disgrace in this world and a great punishment in the Hereafter.
Al-Ma’idah 5:42
ۚ ۖ ۖ ۚ
Avid listeners to lies, devourers of illicit gain. If they come to you, judge between them or turn away from them. If you turn away from them, they will not harm you at all. If you judge, judge between them with equity. Indeed, The God loves the equitable.
Al-Ma’idah 5:43
ۚ
How do they make you judge when they have the Torah, in which is The God’s judgment, then turn away after that? Those are not believers.
Al-Ma’idah 5:44
ۚ ۚ ۚ
We sent down the Torah, in which was guidance and light. The prophets who submitted judged by it for those who became Jews, as did the devoted teachers and scholars, by what they were entrusted to preserve of The God’s Book and to which they were witnesses. Do not fear people, but fear Me, and do not exchange My signs for a small price. Whoever does not judge by what The God has sent down, those are the disbelievers.
Al-Ma’idah 5:45
ۚ ۚ
We prescribed for them in it: life for life, eye for eye, nose for nose, ear for ear, tooth for tooth, and retribution for wounds. Whoever waives it as charity, it is an expiation for him. Whoever does not judge by what The God has sent down, those are the wrongdoers.
Al-Ma’idah 5:46
ۖ
We sent Jesus son of Mary in their footsteps, confirming what was before him of the Torah. We gave him the Gospel, in which was guidance and light, confirming what was before it of the Torah, and as guidance and admonition for the mindful.
Al-Ma’idah 5:47
ۚ
Let the people of the Gospel judge by what The God has sent down in it. Whoever does not judge by what The God has sent down, those are the disobedient.
Al-Ma’idah 5:48
ۖ ۖ ۚ ۚ ۖ ۚ
We sent down the Book to you in truth, confirming what was before it of the Book and as a guardian over it. Judge between them by what The God has sent down, and do not follow their desires away from the truth that has come to you. For each of you We appointed a law and a way. Had The God willed, He would have made you one community, but to test you in what He has given you. So race toward good things. To The God is the return of you all, and He will inform you about what you used to differ over.
Al-Ma’idah 5:49
ۖ ۗ
Judge between them by what The God has sent down, do not follow their desires, and beware of them lest they turn you away from some of what The God has sent down to you. If they turn away, know that The God wishes to afflict them for some of their sins. Indeed, many people are disobedient.
Al-Ma’idah 5:50
ۚ
Do they seek the judgment of ignorance? Who is better than The God in judgment for a people who are certain?
Al-Ma’idah 5:51
ۘ ۚ ۗ
O you who believe, do not take the Jews and Christians as guardians; they are guardians of one another. Whoever among you takes them as guardians is one of them. Indeed, The God does not guide the wrongdoing people.
Al-Ma’idah 5:52
ۚ
You see those in whose hearts is sickness hastening among them, saying, “We fear that a turn of fortune may strike us.” It may be that The God will bring victory or a matter from Himself, and they will become regretful over what they concealed within themselves.
Al-Ma’idah 5:53
ۙ ۚ
Those who believe say, “Are these the ones who swore their strongest oaths by The God that they were surely with you?” Their works have come to nothing, and they have become losers.
Al-Ma’idah 5:54
ۚ ۚ
O you who believe, whoever among you turns back from his religion, The God will bring a people He loves and who love Him, humble toward believers, firm toward disbelievers, striving in the way of The God and fearing no blame from any blamer. That is The God’s bounty, which He gives to whom He wills. The God is all-encompassing, knowing.
Al-Ma’idah 5:55
Your guardian is only The God, His messenger, and those who believe, who establish prayer and give zakat while bowing.
Al-Ma’idah 5:56
Whoever takes The God, His messenger, and those who believe as guardians—indeed, the party of The God are the ones who prevail.
Al-Ma’idah 5:57
ۚ
O you who believe, do not take as guardians those who take your religion as mockery and play, from those given the Book before you and the disbelievers. Be mindful of The God, if you are believers.
Al-Ma’idah 5:58
ۚ
When you call to prayer, they take it as mockery and play. That is because they are a people who do not reason.
Al-Ma’idah 5:59
Say, “O People of the Book, do you resent us for anything other than that we believe in The God, what was sent down to us, and what was sent down before, and that most of you are disobedient?”
Al-Ma’idah 5:60
ۚ ۚ
Say, “Shall I inform you of what is worse than that in recompense with The God? Those whom The God has cursed and with whom He is angry, and from whom He has made apes and swine, and those who worship taghut. Those are worse in position and further astray from the sound way.”
Al-Ma’idah 5:61
ۚ
When they come to you, they say, “We believe,” though they entered with disbelief and left with it. The God knows best what they used to conceal.
Al-Ma’idah 5:62
ۚ
You see many of them hastening into sin, aggression, and consuming illicit gain. How evil is what they used to do.
Al-Ma’idah 5:63
ۚ
Why do the devoted teachers and scholars not restrain them from sinful speech and consuming illicit gain? How evil is what they used to do.
Al-Ma’idah 5:64
ۚ ۘ ۚ ۚ ۚ ۚ ۚ
The Jews said, “The God’s hand is bound.” May their hands be bound; they were cursed for what they said. Rather, both His hands are outstretched; He spends as He wills. What has been sent down to you from your Lord will surely increase many of them in rebellion and disbelief. We cast enmity and hatred among them until the Day of Resurrection. Whenever they kindle a fire for war, The God extinguishes it. They strive for corruption in the earth, and The God does not love the corrupters.
Al-Ma’idah 5:65
Had the People of the Book believed and been mindful, We would have removed their misdeeds from them and admitted them into gardens of bliss.
Al-Ma’idah 5:66
ۚ ۖ
Had they upheld the Torah, the Gospel, and what was sent down to them from their Lord, they would have eaten from above them and from beneath their feet. Among them is a moderate community, but many of them—evil is what they do.
Al-Ma’idah 5:67
ۖ ۚ ۗ
O messenger, convey what has been sent down to you from your Lord. If you do not, you have not conveyed His message. The God will protect you from people. Indeed, The God does not guide the disbelieving people.
Al-Ma’idah 5:68
ۗ ۖ
Say, “O People of the Book, you stand upon nothing until you uphold the Torah, the Gospel, and what has been sent down to you from your Lord.” What has been sent down to you from your Lord will surely increase many of them in rebellion and disbelief. Do not grieve over the disbelieving people.
Al-Ma’idah 5:69
Indeed, those who believe, those who became Jews, the Sabians, and the Christians—whoever believes in The God and the Last Day and does righteousness, no fear shall be upon them, nor shall they grieve.
Al-Ma’idah 5:70
ۖ
We took the covenant of the Children of Israel and sent messengers to them. Whenever a messenger brought them what their souls did not desire, they denied some and killed others.
Al-Ma’idah 5:71
ۚ
They supposed there would be no trial, so they became blind and deaf. Then The God turned to them; then many of them became blind and deaf. The God sees what they do.
Al-Ma’idah 5:72
ۖ ۖ ۖ
Those who say, “The God is the Messiah, son of Mary,” have certainly disbelieved. The Messiah said, “Children of Israel, worship The God, my Lord and your Lord. Whoever associates partners with The God, The God has forbidden the Garden to him, and his refuge is the Fire. The wrongdoers have no helpers.”
Al-Ma’idah 5:73
ۘ ۚ
Those who say, “The God is the third of three,” have certainly disbelieved. There is no god except one God. If they do not desist from what they say, a painful punishment will surely touch those among them who disbelieve.
Al-Ma’idah 5:74
ۚ
Will they not turn to The God and seek His forgiveness? The God is forgiving, merciful.
Al-Ma’idah 5:75
ۖ ۗ
The Messiah, son of Mary, is only a messenger; messengers passed before him. His mother was a woman of truth. They both ate food. Look how We make the signs clear to them; then look how they are turned away.
Al-Ma’idah 5:76
ۚ
Say, “Do you worship besides The God what has no power to harm or benefit you?” The God is the Hearing, the Knowing.
Al-Ma’idah 5:77
Say, “O People of the Book, do not go to excess in your religion beyond the truth. Do not follow the desires of a people who went astray before, led many astray, and strayed from the sound way.”
Al-Ma’idah 5:78
ۚ
Those among the Children of Israel who disbelieved were cursed by the tongue of David and Jesus son of Mary. That was because they disobeyed and used to transgress.
Al-Ma’idah 5:79
ۚ
They did not restrain one another from the wrong they committed. How evil is what they used to do.
Al-Ma’idah 5:80
ۚ
You see many of them taking those who disbelieve as guardians. How evil is what their souls have sent ahead for them: The God is displeased with them, and in the punishment they abide.
Al-Ma’idah 5:81
Had they believed in The God, the prophet, and what was sent down to him, they would not have taken them as guardians. But many of them are disobedient.
Al-Ma’idah 5:82
ۖ ۚ
You will surely find the Jews and those who associate partners the strongest of people in enmity toward those who believe. You will surely find nearest in affection toward those who believe those who say, “We are Christians.” That is because among them are priests and monks, and because they are not arrogant.
Al-Ma’idah 5:83
ۖ
When they hear what has been sent down to the messenger, you see their eyes overflowing with tears because of what they recognize of the truth. They say, “Our Lord, we believe, so write us among the witnesses.
Al-Ma’idah 5:84
Why should we not believe in The God and the truth that has come to us, when we hope that our Lord will admit us with the righteous people?”
Al-Ma’idah 5:85
ۚ
The God rewarded them for what they said with gardens beneath which rivers flow, abiding therein. That is the recompense of those who do good.
Al-Ma’idah 5:86
Those who disbelieve and deny Our signs are the companions of the blazing Fire.
Al-Ma’idah 5:87
ۚ
O you who believe, do not forbid the good things The God has made lawful for you, and do not transgress. Indeed, The God does not love the transgressors.
Al-Ma’idah 5:88
ۚ
Eat of what The God has provided you, lawful and good. Be mindful of The God, in whom you believe.
Al-Ma’idah 5:89
ۖ ۖ ۚ ۚ ۚ
The God does not hold you accountable for idle speech in your oaths, but holds you accountable for the oaths you bind. Its expiation is feeding ten needy people from the average of what you feed your families, or clothing them, or freeing a slave. Whoever cannot find the means must fast three days. That is the expiation of your oaths when you swear. Guard your oaths. Thus The God makes His signs clear to you, so that you may be grateful.
Al-Ma’idah 5:90
O you who believe, wine, gambling, sacrificial stones, and divining arrows are an abomination from Satan’s work. Avoid it, so that you may prosper.
Al-Ma’idah 5:91
ۖ
Satan only wishes to cause enmity and hatred among you through wine and gambling, and to hinder you from remembering The God and from prayer. Will you then desist?
Al-Ma’idah 5:92
ۚ
Obey The God, obey the messenger, and beware. If you turn away, know that Our messenger is responsible only for clear conveyance.
Al-Ma’idah 5:93
ۗ
There is no blame upon those who believe and do righteous deeds for what they have consumed, when they are mindful, believe, and do righteous deeds, then are mindful and believe, then are mindful and do good. The God loves those who do good.
Al-Ma’idah 5:94
ۚ
O you who believe, The God will surely test you with some game that your hands and spears can reach, so that The God may know who fears Him unseen. Whoever transgresses after that, his is a painful punishment.
Al-Ma’idah 5:95
ۚ ۗ ۚ ۗ
O you who believe, do not kill game while in a state of consecration. Whoever among you kills it intentionally owes recompense equivalent to what he killed, from livestock, judged by two just persons among you, as an offering reaching the Kaaba; or an expiation of feeding needy people, or its equivalent in fasting, so that he may taste the consequence of his act. The God has pardoned what is past. Whoever repeats it, The God will exact retribution from him. The God is mighty, possessor of retribution.
Al-Ma’idah 5:96
ۖ ۗ
The game of the sea and its food are lawful for you, as provision for you and travelers. The game of the land is forbidden to you while you remain in a state of consecration. Be mindful of The God, to whom you will be gathered.
Al-Ma’idah 5:97
ۚ
The God has made the Kaaba, the Sacred House, a support for people, and the sacred month, the offerings, and the garlands. That is so you may know that The God knows whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth, and that The God knows all things.
Al-Ma’idah 5:98
Know that The God is severe in punishment, and that The God is forgiving, merciful.
Al-Ma’idah 5:99
ۗ
The messenger is responsible only for conveyance. The God knows what you disclose and what you conceal.
Al-Ma’idah 5:100
ۚ
Say, “The impure and the pure are not equal, even if the abundance of the impure impresses you.” Be mindful of The God, O people of understanding, so that you may prosper.
Al-Ma’idah 5:101
ۗ
O you who believe, do not ask about things which, if disclosed to you, would distress you. If you ask about them while the Quran is being sent down, they will be disclosed to you. The God has pardoned them. The God is forgiving, forbearing.
Al-Ma’idah 5:102
A people before you asked about them, then became disbelievers in them.
Al-Ma’idah 5:103
ۙ ۖ
The God has instituted no bahirah, sa’ibah, wasilah, or ham. But those who disbelieve fabricate lies against The God, and most of them do not reason.
Al-Ma’idah 5:104
ۚ
When they are told, “Come to what The God has sent down and to the messenger,” they say, “What we found our fathers following is enough for us.” Even if their fathers knew nothing and were not guided?
Al-Ma’idah 5:105
ۖ ۚ
O you who believe, attend to yourselves. Whoever goes astray will not harm you when you are guided. To The God is the return of you all, and He will inform you of what you used to do.
Al-Ma’idah 5:106
ۚ ۙ
O you who believe, testimony among you when death approaches one of you, at the time of bequest, is by two just persons from among you, or two others from outside you if you are traveling through the land and the calamity of death befalls you. Detain the two after prayer, if you doubt, and let them swear by The God: “We will not exchange it for a price, even if it concerns a relative, and we will not conceal The God’s testimony; otherwise we would be among the sinful.”
Al-Ma’idah 5:107
If it is discovered that the two have incurred a sin, let two others stand in their place from those whose rights were infringed, the two with the stronger claim, and swear by The God: “Our testimony is truer than their testimony, and we have not transgressed; otherwise we would be among the wrongdoers.”
Al-Ma’idah 5:108
ۗ ۗ
That is nearer to their giving testimony in its proper form, or fearing that oaths may be countered after their oaths. Be mindful of The God and listen. The God does not guide the disobedient people.
Al-Ma’idah 5:109
ۖ ۖ
On the day The God gathers the messengers and says, “What response were you given?” they say, “We have no knowledge. Indeed, You are the Knower of the unseen.”
Al-Ma’idah 5:110
ۖ ۖ ۖ ۖ ۖ
When The God said, “Jesus son of Mary, remember My favor upon you and upon your mother, when I strengthened you with the Holy Spirit, speaking to people in the cradle and in maturity; when I taught you the Book, wisdom, the Torah, and the Gospel; when you formed from clay the shape of a bird by My permission, then breathed into it and it became a bird by My permission; when you healed the blind from birth and the leper by My permission; when you brought forth the dead by My permission; and when I restrained the Children of Israel from you when you brought them clear proofs, and those among them who disbelieved said, ‘This is nothing but manifest magic.’
Al-Ma’idah 5:111
When I revealed to the disciples, ‘Believe in Me and My messenger,’ they said, ‘We believe; bear witness that we submit.’”
Al-Ma’idah 5:112
ۖ
When the disciples said, “Jesus son of Mary, can your Lord send down to us a table spread from heaven?” He said, “Be mindful of The God, if you are believers.”
Al-Ma’idah 5:113
They said, “We wish to eat from it, for our hearts to be reassured, to know that you have told us the truth, and to be witnesses to it.”
Al-Ma’idah 5:114
ۖ
Jesus son of Mary said, “O The God, our Lord, send down to us a table spread from heaven to be a feast for us, for our first and our last, and a sign from You. Provide for us; You are the best of providers.”
Al-Ma’idah 5:115
ۖ
The God said, “I will send it down to you. Whoever among you disbelieves afterward, I will punish him with a punishment with which I punish no one among the worlds.”
Al-Ma’idah 5:116
ۖ ۚ ۚ ۚ
When The God said, “Jesus son of Mary, did you say to people, ‘Take me and my mother as two gods besides The God’?” he said, “Exalted are You! It is not for me to say what I have no right to say. Had I said it, You would have known it. You know what is within myself, and I do not know what is within Yourself. Indeed, You are the Knower of the unseen.
Al-Ma’idah 5:117
ۚ ۖ ۚ
I said to them only what You commanded me: ‘Worship The God, my Lord and your Lord.’ I was a witness over them as long as I remained among them. When You took me, You were the Watcher over them, and You are witness over all things.
Al-Ma’idah 5:118
