بِسمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحمٰنِ الرَّحيمِ

In the name of The God, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.

Al-Muminun 23:1

قَد أَفلَحَ المُؤمِنونَ

The believers have indeed prospered,

Al-Muminun 23:2

الَّذينَ هُم فى صَلاتِهِم خٰشِعونَ

those who are humble in their prayer,

Al-Muminun 23:3

وَالَّذينَ هُم عَنِ اللَّغوِ مُعرِضونَ

who turn away from idle talk,

Al-Muminun 23:4

وَالَّذينَ هُم لِلزَّكوٰةِ فٰعِلونَ

who carry out zakat,

Al-Muminun 23:5

وَالَّذينَ هُم لِفُروجِهِم حٰفِظونَ

who guard their private parts,

Al-Muminun 23:6

إِلّا عَلىٰ أَزوٰجِهِم أَو ما مَلَكَت أَيمٰنُهُم فَإِنَّهُم غَيرُ مَلومينَ

except with their spouses or those whom their right hands possess, for then they are not blameworthy.

Al-Muminun 23:7

فَمَنِ ابتَغىٰ وَراءَ ذٰلِكَ فَأُولٰئِكَ هُمُ العادونَ

Whoever seeks beyond that, those are the transgressors.

Al-Muminun 23:8

وَالَّذينَ هُم لِأَمٰنٰتِهِم وَعَهدِهِم رٰعونَ

And those who attend to their trusts and their covenant,

Al-Muminun 23:9

وَالَّذينَ هُم عَلىٰ صَلَوٰتِهِم يُحافِظونَ

and who maintain their prayers,

Al-Muminun 23:10

أُولٰئِكَ هُمُ الوٰرِثونَ

those are the inheritors,

Al-Muminun 23:11

الَّذينَ يَرِثونَ الفِردَوسَ هُم فيها خٰلِدونَ

who inherit Paradise, remaining there.

Al-Muminun 23:12

وَلَقَد خَلَقنَا الإِنسٰنَ مِن سُلٰلَةٍ مِن طينٍ

We certainly created the human being from an extract of clay.

Al-Muminun 23:13

ثُمَّ جَعَلنٰهُ نُطفَةً فى قَرارٍ مَكينٍ

Then We placed him as a drop in a secure resting place.

Al-Muminun 23:14

ثُمَّ خَلَقنَا النُّطفَةَ عَلَقَةً فَخَلَقنَا العَلَقَةَ مُضغَةً فَخَلَقنَا المُضغَةَ عِظٰمًا فَكَسَونَا العِظٰمَ لَحمًا ثُمَّ أَنشَأنٰهُ خَلقًا ءاخَرَ ۚ فَتَبارَكَ اللَّهُ أَحسَنُ الخٰلِقينَ

Then We made the drop a clinging thing, then made the clinging thing a lump of flesh, then made the lump of flesh bones, then clothed the bones with flesh. Then We brought him forth as another creation. Blessed is The God, the best of creators.

Al-Muminun 23:15

ثُمَّ إِنَّكُم بَعدَ ذٰلِكَ لَمَيِّتونَ

Then, after that, you will certainly die.

Al-Muminun 23:16

ثُمَّ إِنَّكُم يَومَ القِيٰمَةِ تُبعَثونَ

Then, on the Day of Resurrection, you will be raised.

Al-Muminun 23:17

وَلَقَد خَلَقنا فَوقَكُم سَبعَ طَرائِقَ وَما كُنّا عَنِ الخَلقِ غٰفِلينَ

We certainly created seven paths above you, and We have not been heedless of creation.

Al-Muminun 23:18

وَأَنزَلنا مِنَ السَّماءِ ماءً بِقَدَرٍ فَأَسكَنّٰهُ فِى الأَرضِ ۖ وَإِنّا عَلىٰ ذَهابٍ بِهِ لَقٰدِرونَ

We sent water down from the sky in a measure and settled it in the earth. We are indeed able to take it away.

Al-Muminun 23:19

فَأَنشَأنا لَكُم بِهِ جَنّٰتٍ مِن نَخيلٍ وَأَعنٰبٍ لَكُم فيها فَوٰكِهُ كَثيرَةٌ وَمِنها تَأكُلونَ

Through it We brought forth for you gardens of date palms and grapevines. In them are many fruits for you, and from them you eat,

Al-Muminun 23:20

وَشَجَرَةً تَخرُجُ مِن طورِ سَيناءَ تَنبُتُ بِالدُّهنِ وَصِبغٍ لِلـٔاكِلينَ

and a tree growing from Mount Sinai, yielding oil and a relish for those who eat.

Al-Muminun 23:21

وَإِنَّ لَكُم فِى الأَنعٰمِ لَعِبرَةً ۖ نُسقيكُم مِمّا فى بُطونِها وَلَكُم فيها مَنٰفِعُ كَثيرَةٌ وَمِنها تَأكُلونَ

In livestock there is indeed a lesson for you. We give you drink from what is in their bellies, you have many benefits in them, and from them you eat.

Al-Muminun 23:22

وَعَلَيها وَعَلَى الفُلكِ تُحمَلونَ

On them and on ships you are carried.

Al-Muminun 23:23

وَلَقَد أَرسَلنا نوحًا إِلىٰ قَومِهِ فَقالَ يٰقَومِ اعبُدُوا اللَّهَ ما لَكُم مِن إِلٰهٍ غَيرُهُ ۖ أَفَلا تَتَّقونَ

We certainly sent Noah to his people. He said: O my people, worship The God; you have no god other than Him. Will you not be mindful?

Al-Muminun 23:24

فَقالَ المَلَؤُا۟ الَّذينَ كَفَروا مِن قَومِهِ ما هٰذا إِلّا بَشَرٌ مِثلُكُم يُريدُ أَن يَتَفَضَّلَ عَلَيكُم وَلَو شاءَ اللَّهُ لَأَنزَلَ مَلٰئِكَةً ما سَمِعنا بِهٰذا فى ءابائِنَا الأَوَّلينَ

The chiefs of his people who disbelieved said: this is only a human like you, wanting to gain superiority over you. Had The God willed, He would have sent down angels. We have not heard of this among our earliest fathers.

Al-Muminun 23:25

إِن هُوَ إِلّا رَجُلٌ بِهِ جِنَّةٌ فَتَرَبَّصوا بِهِ حَتّىٰ حينٍ

He is only a man with madness in him, so wait concerning him for a time.

Al-Muminun 23:26

قالَ رَبِّ انصُرنى بِما كَذَّبونِ

He said: my Lord, help me against their denial of me.

Al-Muminun 23:27

فَأَوحَينا إِلَيهِ أَنِ اصنَعِ الفُلكَ بِأَعيُنِنا وَوَحيِنا فَإِذا جاءَ أَمرُنا وَفارَ التَّنّورُ ۙ فَاسلُك فيها مِن كُلٍّ زَوجَينِ اثنَينِ وَأَهلَكَ إِلّا مَن سَبَقَ عَلَيهِ القَولُ مِنهُم ۖ وَلا تُخٰطِبنى فِى الَّذينَ ظَلَموا ۖ إِنَّهُم مُغرَقونَ

We revealed to him: build the ship under Our eyes and by Our revelation. When Our command comes and the oven gushes, bring into it a pair of each, two, and your family, except those among them against whom the word has already gone forth. Do not address Me concerning those who have done wrong; they will be drowned.

Al-Muminun 23:28

فَإِذَا استَوَيتَ أَنتَ وَمَن مَعَكَ عَلَى الفُلكِ فَقُلِ الحَمدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذى نَجّىٰنا مِنَ القَومِ الظّٰلِمينَ

When you and those with you have settled on the ship, say: praise belongs to The God, who saved us from the wrongdoing people.

Al-Muminun 23:29

وَقُل رَبِّ أَنزِلنى مُنزَلًا مُبارَكًا وَأَنتَ خَيرُ المُنزِلينَ

And say: my Lord, let me land at a blessed landing place. You are the best of those who bring to land.

Al-Muminun 23:30

إِنَّ فى ذٰلِكَ لَـٔايٰتٍ وَإِن كُنّا لَمُبتَلينَ

In this are indeed signs, and We have indeed been testing.

Al-Muminun 23:31

ثُمَّ أَنشَأنا مِن بَعدِهِم قَرنًا ءاخَرينَ

Then after them We brought forth another generation.

Al-Muminun 23:32

فَأَرسَلنا فيهِم رَسولًا مِنهُم أَنِ اعبُدُوا اللَّهَ ما لَكُم مِن إِلٰهٍ غَيرُهُ ۖ أَفَلا تَتَّقونَ

We sent among them a messenger from themselves: worship The God; you have no god other than Him. Will you not be mindful?

Al-Muminun 23:33

وَقالَ المَلَأُ مِن قَومِهِ الَّذينَ كَفَروا وَكَذَّبوا بِلِقاءِ الـٔاخِرَةِ وَأَترَفنٰهُم فِى الحَيوٰةِ الدُّنيا ما هٰذا إِلّا بَشَرٌ مِثلُكُم يَأكُلُ مِمّا تَأكُلونَ مِنهُ وَيَشرَبُ مِمّا تَشرَبونَ

The chiefs of his people who disbelieved and denied the meeting of the hereafter, and whom We had granted ease in worldly life, said: this is only a human like you. He eats from what you eat and drinks from what you drink.

Al-Muminun 23:34

وَلَئِن أَطَعتُم بَشَرًا مِثلَكُم إِنَّكُم إِذًا لَخٰسِرونَ

If you obey a human like yourselves, you will indeed then be losers.

Al-Muminun 23:35

أَيَعِدُكُم أَنَّكُم إِذا مِتُّم وَكُنتُم تُرابًا وَعِظٰمًا أَنَّكُم مُخرَجونَ

Does he promise you that, when you have died and become dust and bones, you will be brought out?

Al-Muminun 23:36

هَيهاتَ هَيهاتَ لِما توعَدونَ

Far away, far away is what you are promised!

Al-Muminun 23:37

إِن هِىَ إِلّا حَياتُنَا الدُّنيا نَموتُ وَنَحيا وَما نَحنُ بِمَبعوثينَ

There is only this worldly life of ours. We die and we live, and we will not be raised.

Al-Muminun 23:38

إِن هُوَ إِلّا رَجُلٌ افتَرىٰ عَلَى اللَّهِ كَذِبًا وَما نَحنُ لَهُ بِمُؤمِنينَ

He is only a man who has fabricated a lie against The God, and we will not believe him.

Al-Muminun 23:39

قالَ رَبِّ انصُرنى بِما كَذَّبونِ

He said: my Lord, help me against their denial of me.

Al-Muminun 23:40

قالَ عَمّا قَليلٍ لَيُصبِحُنَّ نٰدِمينَ

He said: before long they will surely become regretful.

Al-Muminun 23:41

فَأَخَذَتهُمُ الصَّيحَةُ بِالحَقِّ فَجَعَلنٰهُم غُثاءً ۚ فَبُعدًا لِلقَومِ الظّٰلِمينَ

The cry seized them in truth, and We made them debris. Away with the wrongdoing people!

Al-Muminun 23:42

ثُمَّ أَنشَأنا مِن بَعدِهِم قُرونًا ءاخَرينَ

Then after them We brought forth other generations.

Al-Muminun 23:43

ما تَسبِقُ مِن أُمَّةٍ أَجَلَها وَما يَستَـٔخِرونَ

No community precedes its term, nor do they delay it.

Al-Muminun 23:44

ثُمَّ أَرسَلنا رُسُلَنا تَترا ۖ كُلَّ ما جاءَ أُمَّةً رَسولُها كَذَّبوهُ ۚ فَأَتبَعنا بَعضَهُم بَعضًا وَجَعَلنٰهُم أَحاديثَ ۚ فَبُعدًا لِقَومٍ لا يُؤمِنونَ

Then We sent Our messengers in succession. Whenever a community's messenger came to it, they denied him. We made some follow others and made them tales. Away with a people who do not believe!

Al-Muminun 23:45

ثُمَّ أَرسَلنا موسىٰ وَأَخاهُ هٰرونَ بِـٔايٰتِنا وَسُلطٰنٍ مُبينٍ

Then We sent Moses and his brother Aaron with Our signs and a clear authority,

Al-Muminun 23:46

إِلىٰ فِرعَونَ وَمَلَإِي۟هِ فَاستَكبَروا وَكانوا قَومًا عالينَ

to Pharaoh and his chiefs. They acted arrogantly and were a haughty people.

Al-Muminun 23:47

فَقالوا أَنُؤمِنُ لِبَشَرَينِ مِثلِنا وَقَومُهُما لَنا عٰبِدونَ

They said: shall we believe two humans like ourselves, while their people are our servants?

Al-Muminun 23:48

فَكَذَّبوهُما فَكانوا مِنَ المُهلَكينَ

They denied them both and became among those destroyed.

Al-Muminun 23:49

وَلَقَد ءاتَينا موسَى الكِتٰبَ لَعَلَّهُم يَهتَدونَ

We certainly gave Moses the Book, so that they might be guided.

Al-Muminun 23:50

وَجَعَلنَا ابنَ مَريَمَ وَأُمَّهُ ءايَةً وَءاوَينٰهُما إِلىٰ رَبوَةٍ ذاتِ قَرارٍ وَمَعينٍ

We made the son of Mary and his mother a sign, and sheltered them on a height with a resting place and flowing water.

Al-Muminun 23:51

يٰأَيُّهَا الرُّسُلُ كُلوا مِنَ الطَّيِّبٰتِ وَاعمَلوا صٰلِحًا ۖ إِنّى بِما تَعمَلونَ عَليمٌ

O messengers, eat from good things and do righteousness. I know what you do.

Al-Muminun 23:52

وَإِنَّ هٰذِهِ أُمَّتُكُم أُمَّةً وٰحِدَةً وَأَنا۠ رَبُّكُم فَاتَّقونِ

This community of yours is indeed one community, and I am your Lord, so be mindful of Me.

Al-Muminun 23:53

فَتَقَطَّعوا أَمرَهُم بَينَهُم زُبُرًا ۖ كُلُّ حِزبٍ بِما لَدَيهِم فَرِحونَ

But they divided their affair among themselves into pieces, each faction rejoicing in what it has.

Al-Muminun 23:54

فَذَرهُم فى غَمرَتِهِم حَتّىٰ حينٍ

Leave them in their engulfing heedlessness for a time.

Al-Muminun 23:55

أَيَحسَبونَ أَنَّما نُمِدُّهُم بِهِ مِن مالٍ وَبَنينَ

Do they think that, through the wealth and sons with which We supply them,

Al-Muminun 23:56

نُسارِعُ لَهُم فِى الخَيرٰتِ ۚ بَل لا يَشعُرونَ

We hasten good things for them? Rather, they do not perceive.

Al-Muminun 23:57

إِنَّ الَّذينَ هُم مِن خَشيَةِ رَبِّهِم مُشفِقونَ

Those who are apprehensive out of fear of their Lord,

Al-Muminun 23:58

وَالَّذينَ هُم بِـٔايٰتِ رَبِّهِم يُؤمِنونَ

who believe in the signs of their Lord,

Al-Muminun 23:59

وَالَّذينَ هُم بِرَبِّهِم لا يُشرِكونَ

who associate no partners with their Lord,

Al-Muminun 23:60

وَالَّذينَ يُؤتونَ ما ءاتَوا وَقُلوبُهُم وَجِلَةٌ أَنَّهُم إِلىٰ رَبِّهِم رٰجِعونَ

and who give what they give with trembling hearts, because they are returning to their Lord,

Al-Muminun 23:61

أُولٰئِكَ يُسٰرِعونَ فِى الخَيرٰتِ وَهُم لَها سٰبِقونَ

those hasten in good deeds and are foremost in them.

Al-Muminun 23:62

وَلا نُكَلِّفُ نَفسًا إِلّا وُسعَها ۖ وَلَدَينا كِتٰبٌ يَنطِقُ بِالحَقِّ ۚ وَهُم لا يُظلَمونَ

We burden no soul beyond its capacity. With Us is a book that speaks in truth, and they will not be wronged.

Al-Muminun 23:63

بَل قُلوبُهُم فى غَمرَةٍ مِن هٰذا وَلَهُم أَعمٰلٌ مِن دونِ ذٰلِكَ هُم لَها عٰمِلونَ

Rather, their hearts are in engulfing heedlessness of this, and they have deeds besides this that they are doing,

Al-Muminun 23:64

حَتّىٰ إِذا أَخَذنا مُترَفيهِم بِالعَذابِ إِذا هُم يَجـَٔرونَ

until, when We seize their affluent ones with punishment, they cry out.

Al-Muminun 23:65

لا تَجـَٔرُوا اليَومَ ۖ إِنَّكُم مِنّا لا تُنصَرونَ

Do not cry out today. You will not be helped by Us.

Al-Muminun 23:66

قَد كانَت ءايٰتى تُتلىٰ عَلَيكُم فَكُنتُم عَلىٰ أَعقٰبِكُم تَنكِصونَ

My signs were recited to you, but you used to turn back on your heels,

Al-Muminun 23:67

مُستَكبِرينَ بِهِ سٰمِرًا تَهجُرونَ

arrogant concerning it, speaking idly in your night gatherings.

Al-Muminun 23:68

أَفَلَم يَدَّبَّرُوا القَولَ أَم جاءَهُم ما لَم يَأتِ ءاباءَهُمُ الأَوَّلينَ

Have they not reflected on the word, or has there come to them what did not come to their earliest fathers?

Al-Muminun 23:69

أَم لَم يَعرِفوا رَسولَهُم فَهُم لَهُ مُنكِرونَ

Or have they not recognized their messenger, so that they reject him?

Al-Muminun 23:70

أَم يَقولونَ بِهِ جِنَّةٌ ۚ بَل جاءَهُم بِالحَقِّ وَأَكثَرُهُم لِلحَقِّ كٰرِهونَ

Or do they say there is madness in him? Rather, he has brought them the truth, and most of them dislike the truth.

Al-Muminun 23:71

وَلَوِ اتَّبَعَ الحَقُّ أَهواءَهُم لَفَسَدَتِ السَّمٰوٰتُ وَالأَرضُ وَمَن فيهِنَّ ۚ بَل أَتَينٰهُم بِذِكرِهِم فَهُم عَن ذِكرِهِم مُعرِضونَ

Had the truth followed their desires, the heavens, the earth, and whoever is in them would have been corrupted. Rather, We brought them their reminder, but they turn away from their reminder.

Al-Muminun 23:72

أَم تَسـَٔلُهُم خَرجًا فَخَراجُ رَبِّكَ خَيرٌ ۖ وَهُوَ خَيرُ الرّٰزِقينَ

Or do you ask them for payment? Your Lord's provision is better, and He is the best of providers.

Al-Muminun 23:73

وَإِنَّكَ لَتَدعوهُم إِلىٰ صِرٰطٍ مُستَقيمٍ

You indeed call them to a straight path.

Al-Muminun 23:74

وَإِنَّ الَّذينَ لا يُؤمِنونَ بِالـٔاخِرَةِ عَنِ الصِّرٰطِ لَنٰكِبونَ

Those who do not believe in the hereafter are indeed deviating from the path.

Al-Muminun 23:75

وَلَو رَحِمنٰهُم وَكَشَفنا ما بِهِم مِن ضُرٍّ لَلَجّوا فى طُغيٰنِهِم يَعمَهونَ

If We had mercy on them and removed the harm upon them, they would persist in their transgression, wandering blindly.

Al-Muminun 23:76

وَلَقَد أَخَذنٰهُم بِالعَذابِ فَمَا استَكانوا لِرَبِّهِم وَما يَتَضَرَّعونَ

We certainly seized them with punishment, yet they did not humble themselves to their Lord, nor do they plead,

Al-Muminun 23:77

حَتّىٰ إِذا فَتَحنا عَلَيهِم بابًا ذا عَذابٍ شَديدٍ إِذا هُم فيهِ مُبلِسونَ

until, when We open upon them a gate of severe punishment, they are plunged into despair.

Al-Muminun 23:78

وَهُوَ الَّذى أَنشَأَ لَكُمُ السَّمعَ وَالأَبصٰرَ وَالأَفـِٔدَةَ ۚ قَليلًا ما تَشكُرونَ

He is the One who brought forth for you hearing, sight, and hearts. How little you give thanks!

Al-Muminun 23:79

وَهُوَ الَّذى ذَرَأَكُم فِى الأَرضِ وَإِلَيهِ تُحشَرونَ

He is the One who brought you forth on the earth, and to Him you will be gathered.

Al-Muminun 23:80

وَهُوَ الَّذى يُحيۦ وَيُميتُ وَلَهُ اختِلٰفُ الَّيلِ وَالنَّهارِ ۚ أَفَلا تَعقِلونَ

He is the One who gives life and causes death, and to Him belongs the alternation of night and day. Will you not reason?

Al-Muminun 23:81

بَل قالوا مِثلَ ما قالَ الأَوَّلونَ

Rather, they have said the like of what the earlier peoples said.

Al-Muminun 23:82

قالوا أَءِذا مِتنا وَكُنّا تُرابًا وَعِظٰمًا أَءِنّا لَمَبعوثونَ

They said: when we have died and become dust and bones, will we really be raised?

Al-Muminun 23:83

لَقَد وُعِدنا نَحنُ وَءاباؤُنا هٰذا مِن قَبلُ إِن هٰذا إِلّا أَسٰطيرُ الأَوَّلينَ

We and our fathers were certainly promised this before. These are only tales of the earlier peoples.

Al-Muminun 23:84

قُل لِمَنِ الأَرضُ وَمَن فيها إِن كُنتُم تَعلَمونَ

Say: to whom belong the earth and whoever is in it, if you know?

Al-Muminun 23:85

سَيَقولونَ لِلَّهِ ۚ قُل أَفَلا تَذَكَّرونَ

They will say: to The God. Say: will you not remember?

Al-Muminun 23:86

قُل مَن رَبُّ السَّمٰوٰتِ السَّبعِ وَرَبُّ العَرشِ العَظيمِ

Say: who is Lord of the seven heavens and Lord of the great throne?

Al-Muminun 23:87

سَيَقولونَ لِلَّهِ ۚ قُل أَفَلا تَتَّقونَ

They will say: to The God. Say: will you not be mindful?

Al-Muminun 23:88

قُل مَن بِيَدِهِ مَلَكوتُ كُلِّ شَىءٍ وَهُوَ يُجيرُ وَلا يُجارُ عَلَيهِ إِن كُنتُم تَعلَمونَ

Say: in whose hand is the dominion of all things, who grants protection while none can be protected against Him, if you know?

Al-Muminun 23:89

سَيَقولونَ لِلَّهِ ۚ قُل فَأَنّىٰ تُسحَرونَ

They will say: to The God. Say: how then are you bewitched?

Al-Muminun 23:90

بَل أَتَينٰهُم بِالحَقِّ وَإِنَّهُم لَكٰذِبونَ

Rather, We have brought them the truth, and they are indeed liars.

Al-Muminun 23:91

مَا اتَّخَذَ اللَّهُ مِن وَلَدٍ وَما كانَ مَعَهُ مِن إِلٰهٍ ۚ إِذًا لَذَهَبَ كُلُّ إِلٰهٍ بِما خَلَقَ وَلَعَلا بَعضُهُم عَلىٰ بَعضٍ ۚ سُبحٰنَ اللَّهِ عَمّا يَصِفونَ

The God has taken no child, nor has there been any god with Him. Then each god would have taken away what he created, and some would have risen above others. Exalted is The God beyond what they describe.

Al-Muminun 23:92

عٰلِمِ الغَيبِ وَالشَّهٰدَةِ فَتَعٰلىٰ عَمّا يُشرِكونَ

Knower of the unseen and the witnessed, exalted above what they associate with Him.

Al-Muminun 23:93

قُل رَبِّ إِمّا تُرِيَنّى ما يوعَدونَ

Say: my Lord, if You show me what they are promised,

Al-Muminun 23:94

رَبِّ فَلا تَجعَلنى فِى القَومِ الظّٰلِمينَ

my Lord, do not place me among the wrongdoing people.

Al-Muminun 23:95

وَإِنّا عَلىٰ أَن نُرِيَكَ ما نَعِدُهُم لَقٰدِرونَ

We are indeed able to show you what We promise them.

Al-Muminun 23:96

ادفَع بِالَّتى هِىَ أَحسَنُ السَّيِّئَةَ ۚ نَحنُ أَعلَمُ بِما يَصِفونَ

Repel evil with what is better. We know best what they describe.

Al-Muminun 23:97

وَقُل رَبِّ أَعوذُ بِكَ مِن هَمَزٰتِ الشَّيٰطينِ

And say: my Lord, I seek refuge in You from the incitements of the devils,

Al-Muminun 23:98

وَأَعوذُ بِكَ رَبِّ أَن يَحضُرونِ

and I seek refuge in You, my Lord, from their being present with me.

Al-Muminun 23:99

حَتّىٰ إِذا جاءَ أَحَدَهُمُ المَوتُ قالَ رَبِّ ارجِعونِ

Until, when death comes to one of them, he says: my Lord, send me back,

Al-Muminun 23:100

لَعَلّى أَعمَلُ صٰلِحًا فيما تَرَكتُ ۚ كَلّا ۚ إِنَّها كَلِمَةٌ هُوَ قائِلُها ۖ وَمِن وَرائِهِم بَرزَخٌ إِلىٰ يَومِ يُبعَثونَ

so that I may do righteousness in what I left behind. No! It is only a word he speaks. Behind them is a barrier until the day they are raised.

Al-Muminun 23:101

فَإِذا نُفِخَ فِى الصّورِ فَلا أَنسابَ بَينَهُم يَومَئِذٍ وَلا يَتَساءَلونَ

When the trumpet is blown, there will be no ties of kinship between them that day, nor will they ask one another.

Al-Muminun 23:102

فَمَن ثَقُلَت مَوٰزينُهُ فَأُولٰئِكَ هُمُ المُفلِحونَ

Those whose scales are heavy are the ones who prosper.

Al-Muminun 23:103

وَمَن خَفَّت مَوٰزينُهُ فَأُولٰئِكَ الَّذينَ خَسِروا أَنفُسَهُم فى جَهَنَّمَ خٰلِدونَ

Those whose scales are light are the ones who have lost themselves, remaining in Hell.

Al-Muminun 23:104

تَلفَحُ وُجوهَهُمُ النّارُ وَهُم فيها كٰلِحونَ

The fire scorches their faces, and there they have their teeth bared.

Al-Muminun 23:105

أَلَم تَكُن ءايٰتى تُتلىٰ عَلَيكُم فَكُنتُم بِها تُكَذِّبونَ

Were My signs not recited to you, and you used to deny them?

Al-Muminun 23:106

قالوا رَبَّنا غَلَبَت عَلَينا شِقوَتُنا وَكُنّا قَومًا ضالّينَ

They said: our Lord, our wretchedness overcame us, and we were a people astray.

Al-Muminun 23:107

رَبَّنا أَخرِجنا مِنها فَإِن عُدنا فَإِنّا ظٰلِمونَ

Our Lord, bring us out of it. If we return, we are indeed wrongdoers.

Al-Muminun 23:108

قالَ اخسَـٔوا فيها وَلا تُكَلِّمونِ

He said: remain despised in it, and do not speak to Me.

Al-Muminun 23:109

إِنَّهُ كانَ فَريقٌ مِن عِبادى يَقولونَ رَبَّنا ءامَنّا فَاغفِر لَنا وَارحَمنا وَأَنتَ خَيرُ الرّٰحِمينَ

A group of My servants used to say: our Lord, we have believed, so forgive us and have mercy on us. You are the best of those who show mercy.

Al-Muminun 23:110

فَاتَّخَذتُموهُم سِخرِيًّا حَتّىٰ أَنسَوكُم ذِكرى وَكُنتُم مِنهُم تَضحَكونَ

You took them in mockery until they made you forget My remembrance, and you used to laugh at them.

Al-Muminun 23:111

إِنّى جَزَيتُهُمُ اليَومَ بِما صَبَروا أَنَّهُم هُمُ الفائِزونَ

Today I have rewarded them for their patience; they are the successful ones.

Al-Muminun 23:112

قٰلَ كَم لَبِثتُم فِى الأَرضِ عَدَدَ سِنينَ

He said: how long did you remain on the earth, in number of years?

Al-Muminun 23:113

قالوا لَبِثنا يَومًا أَو بَعضَ يَومٍ فَسـَٔلِ العادّينَ

They said: we remained a day or part of a day; ask those who count.

Al-Muminun 23:114

قٰلَ إِن لَبِثتُم إِلّا قَليلًا ۖ لَو أَنَّكُم كُنتُم تَعلَمونَ

He said: you remained only a little, if only you knew.

Al-Muminun 23:115

أَفَحَسِبتُم أَنَّما خَلَقنٰكُم عَبَثًا وَأَنَّكُم إِلَينا لا تُرجَعونَ

Did you think that We created you without purpose and that you would not be returned to Us?

Al-Muminun 23:116

فَتَعٰلَى اللَّهُ المَلِكُ الحَقُّ ۖ لا إِلٰهَ إِلّا هُوَ رَبُّ العَرشِ الكَريمِ

Exalted is The God, the true King. There is no god but Him, Lord of the noble throne.

Al-Muminun 23:117

وَمَن يَدعُ مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلٰهًا ءاخَرَ لا بُرهٰنَ لَهُ بِهِ فَإِنَّما حِسابُهُ عِندَ رَبِّهِ ۚ إِنَّهُ لا يُفلِحُ الكٰفِرونَ

Whoever calls upon another god along with The God, for which he has no proof, his account is only with his Lord. The disbelievers will not prosper.

Al-Muminun 23:118

وَقُل رَبِّ اغفِر وَارحَم وَأَنتَ خَيرُ الرّٰحِمينَ

And say: my Lord, forgive and have mercy. You are the best of those who show mercy.
