In the name of The God, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.
Al-Furqan 25:1
Blessed is the One who sent down the Criterion upon His servant, so that he may be a warner to the worlds,
Al-Furqan 25:2
the One to whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth, who has taken no child and has no partner in dominion. He created everything and determined it in due measure.
Al-Furqan 25:3
They have taken gods apart from Him who create nothing and are themselves created, who possess neither harm nor benefit for themselves, and possess neither death, life, nor resurrection.
Al-Furqan 25:4
ۖ
Those who disbelieved said: this is only a falsehood he invented, and other people helped him with it. They have indeed brought injustice and falsehood.
Al-Furqan 25:5
They said: tales of the earlier peoples that he has had written down, dictated to him morning and evening.
Al-Furqan 25:6
ۚ
Say: the One who knows the secret in the heavens and the earth sent it down. He is forgiving, merciful.
Al-Furqan 25:7
ۙ
They said: what is with this messenger, eating food and walking in the markets? Why has an angel not been sent down to him to be a warner with him?
Al-Furqan 25:8
ۚ
Or a treasure be cast to him, or he have a garden from which to eat? The wrongdoers said: you follow only a bewitched man.
Al-Furqan 25:9
See how they put forward comparisons for you, then went astray and cannot find a way.
Al-Furqan 25:10
Blessed is the One who, if He wills, can give you better than that: gardens beneath which rivers flow, and give you palaces.
Al-Furqan 25:11
ۖ
Rather, they denied the Hour. We have prepared a blaze for whoever denies the Hour.
Al-Furqan 25:12
When it sees them from a distant place, they will hear its fury and roaring.
Al-Furqan 25:13
When they are cast into a narrow place in it, bound together, they will call there for destruction.
Al-Furqan 25:14
Do not call today for one destruction; call for much destruction.
Al-Furqan 25:15
ۚ
Say: is that better, or the Garden of Eternity promised to the mindful? It is their reward and destination.
Al-Furqan 25:16
ۚ
There they have whatever they wish, remaining there. It is a promise upon your Lord, to be asked for.
Al-Furqan 25:17
On the day He gathers them and what they worship apart from The God, He will say: did you mislead these servants of Mine, or did they themselves stray from the way?
Al-Furqan 25:18
They said: glory be to You! It was not for us to take protectors apart from You. But You granted enjoyment to them and their fathers until they forgot the reminder and became a ruined people.
Al-Furqan 25:19
ۚ
They have denied you in what you say, so you can neither avert nor help. Whoever among you does wrong, We will make him taste a great punishment.
Al-Furqan 25:20
ۗ ۗ
We sent no messengers before you but that they ate food and walked in the markets. We made some of you a trial for others. Will you be patient? Your Lord is seeing.
Al-Furqan 25:21
ۗ
Those who have no expectation of meeting Us said: why have angels not been sent down upon us, or why do we not see our Lord? They have indeed grown arrogant within themselves and rebelled with great rebellion.
Al-Furqan 25:22
On the day they see the angels, there will be no good news that day for the guilty, and they will say: forbidden, utterly forbidden!
Al-Furqan 25:23
We will turn to whatever deeds they have done and make them scattered dust.
Al-Furqan 25:24
The companions of the Garden that day have a better settlement and a finer resting place.
Al-Furqan 25:25
On the day the sky splits with the clouds and the angels are sent down in a descent,
Al-Furqan 25:26
ۚ
true dominion that day belongs to the Entirely Merciful. It will be a difficult day for the disbelievers.
Al-Furqan 25:27
On the day the wrongdoer bites his hands, he will say: if only I had taken a way with the messenger!
Al-Furqan 25:28
Woe to me! If only I had not taken so-and-so as a close friend!
Al-Furqan 25:29
ۗ
He led me away from the reminder after it had come to me. Satan is ever one who abandons the human being.
Al-Furqan 25:30
The messenger said: my Lord, my people have taken this Qur’an as something abandoned.
Al-Furqan 25:31
ۗ
Thus We have made for every prophet an enemy from the guilty. Your Lord is sufficient as a guide and helper.
Al-Furqan 25:32
ۚ ۖ
Those who disbelieved said: why was the Qur’an not sent down upon him all at once? Thus, so that We may strengthen your heart with it, and We recited it in measured sequence.
Al-Furqan 25:33
They bring you no example but that We bring you the truth and a better explanation.
Al-Furqan 25:34
Those gathered on their faces to Hell are worse in position and farther astray from the way.
Al-Furqan 25:35
We certainly gave Moses the Book and appointed his brother Aaron as a helper with him.
Al-Furqan 25:36
We said: go, both of you, to the people who denied Our signs. Then We destroyed them utterly.
Al-Furqan 25:37
ۖ
The people of Noah, when they denied the messengers, We drowned them and made them a sign for people. We have prepared a painful punishment for the wrongdoers.
Al-Furqan 25:38
And Aad, Thamud, the people of the Rass, and many generations between them,
Al-Furqan 25:39
ۖ
for each We presented examples, and each We shattered utterly.
Al-Furqan 25:40
ۚ ۚ
They have certainly come upon the town upon which an evil rain was rained. Did they not see it? Rather, they had no expectation of resurrection.
Al-Furqan 25:41
When they see you, they take you only in mockery: is this the one The God sent as a messenger?
Al-Furqan 25:42
ۚ
He almost led us away from our gods, had we not remained steadfast to them. They will know, when they see the punishment, who is farther astray from the way.
Al-Furqan 25:43
Have you seen the one who takes his desire as his god? Will you be a guardian over him?
Al-Furqan 25:44
ۚ ۖ
Or do you think most of them hear or reason? They are only like livestock; rather, farther astray from the way.
Al-Furqan 25:45
Have you not considered your Lord, how He extended the shade? Had He willed, He could have made it still. Then We made the sun its guide.
Al-Furqan 25:46
Then We drew it back to Us with a gentle drawing.
Al-Furqan 25:47
He is the One who made the night a covering for you, sleep a rest, and the day a rising.
Al-Furqan 25:48
ۚ
He is the One who sent the winds as good news ahead of His mercy. We sent down purifying water from the sky,
Al-Furqan 25:49
to give life through it to a dead land and give it as drink to many of the livestock and humans We created.
Al-Furqan 25:50
We have certainly distributed it among them so that they may remember, yet most people refuse anything but ingratitude.
Al-Furqan 25:51
Had We willed, We would have raised a warner in every town.
Al-Furqan 25:52
Do not obey the disbelievers, and strive against them with it in a great striving.
Al-Furqan 25:53
He is the One who let the two seas flow, this one fresh and sweet, that one salty and bitter, and placed between them a barrier and a forbidden partition.
Al-Furqan 25:54
ۗ
He is the One who created a human from water and gave him kinship by descent and by marriage. Your Lord is powerful.
Al-Furqan 25:55
ۗ
They worship apart from The God what neither benefits nor harms them. The disbeliever is a supporter against his Lord.
Al-Furqan 25:56
We sent you only as a bearer of good news and a warner.
Al-Furqan 25:57
Say: I ask you no payment for it, except that whoever wills may take a way to his Lord.
Al-Furqan 25:58
ۚ
Rely upon the Living One who does not die, and glorify Him with praise. He is sufficient as One aware of His servants' sins,
Al-Furqan 25:59
ۚ
the One who created the heavens, the earth, and what is between them in six days, then established Himself upon the throne—the Entirely Merciful. Ask about Him one who knows.
Al-Furqan 25:60
۩
When they are told to prostrate to the Entirely Merciful, they say: what is the Entirely Merciful? Shall we prostrate to what you command us? It increases their aversion.
Al-Furqan 25:61
Blessed is the One who placed constellations in the sky and placed in it a lamp and an illuminating moon.
Al-Furqan 25:62
He is the One who made the night and day succeed one another, for whoever wishes to remember or wishes to give thanks.
Al-Furqan 25:63
The servants of the Entirely Merciful are those who walk gently upon the earth and, when the ignorant address them, say: peace.
Al-Furqan 25:64
who spend the night prostrating and standing before their Lord,
Al-Furqan 25:65
ۖ
and who say: our Lord, turn the punishment of Hell away from us. Its punishment is unrelenting.
Al-Furqan 25:66
It is indeed an evil settlement and dwelling place.
Al-Furqan 25:67
Those who, when they spend, neither squander nor withhold, but maintain a balance between the two,
Al-Furqan 25:68
ۚ
who do not call upon another god with The God, do not kill the soul The God has made inviolable except by right, and do not commit zina. Whoever does that will meet a penalty.
Al-Furqan 25:69
The punishment will be multiplied for him on the Day of Resurrection, and he will remain in it humiliated,
Al-Furqan 25:70
ۗ
except one who repents, believes, and does righteous work. The God will replace their bad deeds with good deeds. The God is forgiving, merciful.
Al-Furqan 25:71
Whoever repents and does righteousness truly turns to The God in repentance.
Al-Furqan 25:72
Those who do not witness falsehood and, when they pass by idle talk, pass with dignity,
Al-Furqan 25:73
who, when reminded of their Lord's signs, do not fall upon them deaf and blind,
Al-Furqan 25:74
and who say: our Lord, grant us comfort of eyes in our spouses and descendants, and make us a leader for the mindful.
Al-Furqan 25:75
Those will be rewarded with the high chamber for their patience, and will be received there with greeting and peace,
Al-Furqan 25:76
ۚ
remaining there. How good a settlement and dwelling place!
Al-Furqan 25:77
ۖ
Say: what regard would my Lord have for you were it not for your supplication? You have denied, so it will be inescapable.
