Discuss on Tabsira

·Opening·29 Verses

In the name of The God, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.

Al-Fath 48:1

We have granted you a clear opening,

Al-Fath 48:2

So that The God may forgive you what preceded of your sin and what followed, complete His favor upon you, and guide you to a straight path,

Al-Fath 48:3

And The God may help you with mighty help.

Al-Fath 48:4

ۗ ۚ

He is the One who sent down tranquility into the believers’ hearts so that they might increase in faith alongside their faith. To The God belong the forces of the heavens and the earth, and The God is Knowing, Wise.

Al-Fath 48:5

ۚ

So that He may admit believing men and women into gardens beneath which rivers flow, remaining in them, and remove their evil deeds. That is a great triumph with The God.

Al-Fath 48:6

ۚ ۖ ۖ

And punish hypocritical men and women and associating men and women who think evil thoughts of The God. Upon them is the turn of evil. The God is angry with them, has cursed them, and has prepared Hell for them—an evil destination.

Al-Fath 48:7

ۚ

To The God belong the forces of the heavens and the earth, and The God is Almighty, Wise.

Al-Fath 48:8

We have sent you as a witness, a bearer of good news, and a warner,

Al-Fath 48:9

So that you may believe in The God and His messenger, support and honor him, and glorify Him morning and evening.

Al-Fath 48:10

ۚ ۖ

Those who pledge allegiance to you are pledging allegiance only to The God. The hand of The God is above their hands. Whoever breaks the pledge breaks it only against himself; whoever fulfills what he has pledged to The God, He will give him a great reward.

Al-Fath 48:11

ۚ ۚ ۚ

Those of the desert Arabs who stayed behind will say to you: Our possessions and families occupied us, so seek forgiveness for us. They say with their tongues what is not in their hearts. Say: Who can possess anything for you against The God if He intends harm or benefit for you? Rather, The God is aware of what you do.

Al-Fath 48:12

Rather, you thought the messenger and the believers would never return to their families. That was made attractive in your hearts, and you thought evil thoughts and were a ruined people.

Al-Fath 48:13

Whoever does not believe in The God and His messenger—We have prepared a blaze for the disbelievers.

Al-Fath 48:14

ۚ ۚ

To The God belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. He forgives whom He wills and punishes whom He wills, and The God is Forgiving, Especially Merciful.

Al-Fath 48:15

ۖ ۚ ۖ ۚ

When you set out to take spoils, those who stayed behind will say: Let us follow you. They wish to change the word of The God. Say: You will not follow us; The God said so before. Then they will say: Rather, you envy us. Rather, they understood only a little.

Al-Fath 48:16

ۖ ۖ

Tell those of the desert Arabs who stayed behind: You will be called against a people of great might; you will fight them, or they will submit. If you obey, The God will give you a good reward; if you turn away as you turned away before, He will punish you with a painful punishment.

Al-Fath 48:17

ۗ ۖ

There is no blame upon the blind, nor upon the lame, nor upon the sick. Whoever obeys The God and His messenger, He will admit him into gardens beneath which rivers flow; whoever turns away, He will punish him with a painful punishment.

Al-Fath 48:18

The God was certainly pleased with the believers when they pledged allegiance to you beneath the tree. He knew what was in their hearts, sent down tranquility upon them, and rewarded them with a near opening,

Al-Fath 48:19

ۗ

And abundant spoils which they take. The God is Almighty, Wise.

Al-Fath 48:20

The God has promised you abundant spoils which you will take, and has hastened this for you and restrained people’s hands from you, so that it may be a sign for the believers and He may guide you to a straight path.

Al-Fath 48:21

ۚ

And another which you have not been able to obtain; The God has encompassed it. The God has power over everything.

Al-Fath 48:22

If those who disbelieved had fought you, they would have turned their backs, then found neither protector nor helper.

Al-Fath 48:23

ۖ

The way of The God that has passed before; you will never find any change in the way of The God.

Al-Fath 48:24

ۚ

He is the One who restrained their hands from you and your hands from them in the heart of Mecca, after giving you victory over them. The God sees what you do.

Al-Fath 48:25

ۚ ۖ ۚ

They are the ones who disbelieved and barred you from the Sacred Mosque, detaining the sacrificial offering from reaching its place. Were it not for believing men and women whom you did not know, whom you might trample and thereby incur harm unknowingly—so that The God may admit into His mercy whom He wills. Had they separated, We would have punished those among them who disbelieved with a painful punishment.

Al-Fath 48:26

ۚ

When those who disbelieved placed zeal in their hearts—the zeal of ignorance—The God sent down His tranquility upon His messenger and upon the believers and bound them to the word of mindfulness. They were more entitled to it and worthy of it. The God knows everything.

Al-Fath 48:27

ۖ ۖ

The God has certainly fulfilled the vision for His messenger in truth: You will surely enter the Sacred Mosque, if The God wills, secure, with your heads shaved and your hair shortened, without fear. He knew what you did not know and granted a near opening before that.

Al-Fath 48:28

ۚ

He is the One who sent His messenger with guidance and the religion of truth to make it prevail over all religion. The God is sufficient as a witness.

Al-Fath 48:29

ۚ ۖ ۖ ۚ ۚ ۗ

Muhammad is the messenger of The God. Those with him are firm against the disbelievers, merciful among themselves. You see them bowing and prostrating, seeking bounty from The God and pleasure. Their mark is on their faces from the trace of prostration. That is their description in the Torah. Their description in the Gospel is like a crop that puts forth its shoot, strengthens it, grows thick, and stands upon its stalks, delighting the farmers, so that He may anger the disbelievers through them. The God has promised those among them who believe and do good deeds forgiveness and a great reward.
