بِسمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحمٰنِ الرَّحيمِ

In the name of The God, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.

At-Tur 52:1

وَالطّورِ

By the Mount,

At-Tur 52:2

وَكِتٰبٍ مَسطورٍ

And a book inscribed,

At-Tur 52:3

فى رَقٍّ مَنشورٍ

On an unrolled parchment,

At-Tur 52:4

وَالبَيتِ المَعمورِ

And the frequented House,

At-Tur 52:5

وَالسَّقفِ المَرفوعِ

And the raised roof,

At-Tur 52:6

وَالبَحرِ المَسجورِ

And the sea set ablaze,

At-Tur 52:7

إِنَّ عَذابَ رَبِّكَ لَوٰقِعٌ

Your Lord’s punishment will surely occur,

At-Tur 52:8

ما لَهُ مِن دافِعٍ

It has no repeller.

At-Tur 52:9

يَومَ تَمورُ السَّماءُ مَورًا

The day the sky sways mightily,

At-Tur 52:10

وَتَسيرُ الجِبالُ سَيرًا

And the mountains move away.

At-Tur 52:11

فَوَيلٌ يَومَئِذٍ لِلمُكَذِّبينَ

Woe that day to the deniers,

At-Tur 52:12

الَّذينَ هُم فى خَوضٍ يَلعَبونَ

Those who play amid idle discourse.

At-Tur 52:13

يَومَ يُدَعّونَ إِلىٰ نارِ جَهَنَّمَ دَعًّا

The day they are thrust forcefully toward the fire of Hell.

At-Tur 52:14

هٰذِهِ النّارُ الَّتى كُنتُم بِها تُكَذِّبونَ

This is the Fire you used to deny.

At-Tur 52:15

أَفَسِحرٌ هٰذا أَم أَنتُم لا تُبصِرونَ

Is this magic, or do you not see?

At-Tur 52:16

اصلَوها فَاصبِروا أَو لا تَصبِروا سَواءٌ عَلَيكُم ۖ إِنَّما تُجزَونَ ما كُنتُم تَعمَلونَ

Burn in it; be patient or not, it is the same for you. You are repaid only for what you used to do.

At-Tur 52:17

إِنَّ المُتَّقينَ فى جَنّٰتٍ وَنَعيمٍ

The mindful are amid gardens and delight,

At-Tur 52:18

فٰكِهينَ بِما ءاتىٰهُم رَبُّهُم وَوَقىٰهُم رَبُّهُم عَذابَ الجَحيمِ

Delighting in what their Lord has given them, and their Lord has protected them from the punishment of the blazing fire.

At-Tur 52:19

كُلوا وَاشرَبوا هَنيـًٔا بِما كُنتُم تَعمَلونَ

Eat and drink with enjoyment for what you used to do.

At-Tur 52:20

مُتَّكِـٔينَ عَلىٰ سُرُرٍ مَصفوفَةٍ ۖ وَزَوَّجنٰهُم بِحورٍ عينٍ

Reclining on couches set in rows, and We paired them with wide-eyed houris.

At-Tur 52:21

وَالَّذينَ ءامَنوا وَاتَّبَعَتهُم ذُرِّيَّتُهُم بِإيمٰنٍ أَلحَقنا بِهِم ذُرِّيَّتَهُم وَما أَلَتنٰهُم مِن عَمَلِهِم مِن شَىءٍ ۚ كُلُّ امرِئٍ بِما كَسَبَ رَهينٌ

Those who believed and whose offspring followed them in faith—We joined their offspring to them and diminished nothing of their deeds. Every person is pledged for what he has earned.

At-Tur 52:22

وَأَمدَدنٰهُم بِفٰكِهَةٍ وَلَحمٍ مِمّا يَشتَهونَ

We supplied them with fruit and meat of what they desire.

At-Tur 52:23

يَتَنٰزَعونَ فيها كَأسًا لا لَغوٌ فيها وَلا تَأثيمٌ

There they pass a cup among themselves, with neither idle talk in it nor incitement to sin.

At-Tur 52:24

وَيَطوفُ عَلَيهِم غِلمانٌ لَهُم كَأَنَّهُم لُؤلُؤٌ مَكنونٌ

Boys belonging to them circulate among them, as though they were sheltered pearls.

At-Tur 52:25

وَأَقبَلَ بَعضُهُم عَلىٰ بَعضٍ يَتَساءَلونَ

They turn toward one another, asking questions.

At-Tur 52:26

قالوا إِنّا كُنّا قَبلُ فى أَهلِنا مُشفِقينَ

They say: Previously, among our families, we were apprehensive,

At-Tur 52:27

فَمَنَّ اللَّهُ عَلَينا وَوَقىٰنا عَذابَ السَّمومِ

Then The God favored us and protected us from the punishment of the scorching wind.

At-Tur 52:28

إِنّا كُنّا مِن قَبلُ نَدعوهُ ۖ إِنَّهُ هُوَ البَرُّ الرَّحيمُ

We used to call upon Him before; He is the Beneficent, the Especially Merciful.

At-Tur 52:29

فَذَكِّر فَما أَنتَ بِنِعمَتِ رَبِّكَ بِكاهِنٍ وَلا مَجنونٍ

So remind; by your Lord’s favor, you are neither a soothsayer nor a madman.

At-Tur 52:30

أَم يَقولونَ شاعِرٌ نَتَرَبَّصُ بِهِ رَيبَ المَنونِ

Or do they say: A poet for whom we await the vicissitudes of death?

At-Tur 52:31

قُل تَرَبَّصوا فَإِنّى مَعَكُم مِنَ المُتَرَبِّصينَ

Say: Wait; I too am waiting with you.

At-Tur 52:32

أَم تَأمُرُهُم أَحلٰمُهُم بِهٰذا ۚ أَم هُم قَومٌ طاغونَ

Do their minds command them to this, or are they a transgressing people?

At-Tur 52:33

أَم يَقولونَ تَقَوَّلَهُ ۚ بَل لا يُؤمِنونَ

Or do they say: He made it up? Rather, they do not believe.

At-Tur 52:34

فَليَأتوا بِحَديثٍ مِثلِهِ إِن كانوا صٰدِقينَ

Then let them bring a discourse like it, if they are truthful.

At-Tur 52:35

أَم خُلِقوا مِن غَيرِ شَىءٍ أَم هُمُ الخٰلِقونَ

Were they created from nothing, or are they themselves the creators?

At-Tur 52:36

أَم خَلَقُوا السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالأَرضَ ۚ بَل لا يوقِنونَ

Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Rather, they have no certainty.

At-Tur 52:37

أَم عِندَهُم خَزائِنُ رَبِّكَ أَم هُمُ المُصَۣيطِرونَ

Or do they possess your Lord’s treasuries, or are they the controllers?

At-Tur 52:38

أَم لَهُم سُلَّمٌ يَستَمِعونَ فيهِ ۖ فَليَأتِ مُستَمِعُهُم بِسُلطٰنٍ مُبينٍ

Or do they have a ladder on which they listen? Then let their listener bring clear authority.

At-Tur 52:39

أَم لَهُ البَنٰتُ وَلَكُمُ البَنونَ

Or does He have daughters while you have sons?

At-Tur 52:40

أَم تَسـَٔلُهُم أَجرًا فَهُم مِن مَغرَمٍ مُثقَلونَ

Or do you ask them for payment, so that they are burdened by a debt?

At-Tur 52:41

أَم عِندَهُمُ الغَيبُ فَهُم يَكتُبونَ

Or is the unseen with them, so that they write it down?

At-Tur 52:42

أَم يُريدونَ كَيدًا ۖ فَالَّذينَ كَفَروا هُمُ المَكيدونَ

Or do they intend a plot? Those who disbelieve are themselves the ones plotted against.

At-Tur 52:43

أَم لَهُم إِلٰهٌ غَيرُ اللَّهِ ۚ سُبحٰنَ اللَّهِ عَمّا يُشرِكونَ

Or do they have a god besides The God? Glory be to The God above what they associate.

At-Tur 52:44

وَإِن يَرَوا كِسفًا مِنَ السَّماءِ ساقِطًا يَقولوا سَحابٌ مَركومٌ

If they see a fragment of the sky falling, they say: A piled-up cloud.

At-Tur 52:45

فَذَرهُم حَتّىٰ يُلٰقوا يَومَهُمُ الَّذى فيهِ يُصعَقونَ

So leave them until they meet their day on which they will be struck down.

At-Tur 52:46

يَومَ لا يُغنى عَنهُم كَيدُهُم شَيـًٔا وَلا هُم يُنصَرونَ

The day their plotting will not avail them at all, nor will they be helped.

At-Tur 52:47

وَإِنَّ لِلَّذينَ ظَلَموا عَذابًا دونَ ذٰلِكَ وَلٰكِنَّ أَكثَرَهُم لا يَعلَمونَ

For those who did wrong there is a punishment besides that, but most of them do not know.

At-Tur 52:48

وَاصبِر لِحُكمِ رَبِّكَ فَإِنَّكَ بِأَعيُنِنا ۖ وَسَبِّح بِحَمدِ رَبِّكَ حينَ تَقومُ

Be patient for your Lord’s judgment, for you are before Our eyes. Glorify your Lord with praise when you rise.

At-Tur 52:49

وَمِنَ الَّيلِ فَسَبِّحهُ وَإِدبٰرَ النُّجومِ

Glorify Him during part of the night and at the departure of the stars.
