In the name of The God, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.

Al-Hadid 57:1

ۖ

Whatever is in the heavens and the earth has glorified The God; He is the Mighty, the Wise.

Al-Hadid 57:2

ۖ ۖ

His is the dominion of the heavens and the earth. He gives life and causes death, and He is able to do all things.

Al-Hadid 57:3

ۖ

He is the First and the Last, the Manifest and the Hidden; He knows all things.

Al-Hadid 57:4

ۚ ۖ ۚ

He is the one who created the heavens and the earth in six days, then established Himself upon the Throne. He knows what enters the earth and what comes out of it, what descends from the sky and what ascends into it. He is with you wherever you are; The God sees what you do.

Al-Hadid 57:5

ۚ

His is the dominion of the heavens and the earth, and all matters are returned to The God.

Al-Hadid 57:6

ۚ

He brings the night into the day and brings the day into the night; He knows what is within the breasts.

Al-Hadid 57:7

ۖ

Believe in The God and His messenger, and spend from that over which He has made you successors. Those among you who believe and spend will have a great reward.

Al-Hadid 57:8

ۙ

What is the matter with you that you do not believe in The God, while the messenger calls you to believe in your Lord and He has taken your covenant, if you are believers?

Al-Hadid 57:9

ۚ

He is the one who sends down clear signs upon His servant to bring you out of darkness into light. The God is tender and merciful toward you.

Al-Hadid 57:10

ۚ ۚ ۚ ۚ

What is the matter with you that you do not spend in the way of The God, when the inheritance of the heavens and the earth belongs to Him? Those among you who spent and fought before the victory are not equal: they are greater in rank than those who spent and fought afterward. Yet The God has promised the finest to all. The God is aware of what you do.

Al-Hadid 57:11

Who will lend The God a good loan, so that He may multiply it for him, and he may have a noble reward?

Al-Hadid 57:12

ۚ

On the day you see believing men and women, their light running before them and to their right: “Your good news today is gardens beneath which rivers flow, where you will remain forever.” That is the great triumph.

Al-Hadid 57:13

On the day hypocritical men and women say to those who believe, “Wait for us, so we may take some of your light,” it will be said, “Go back behind you and seek a light.” Then a wall with a gate will be set between them: within it is mercy, and outside it, on that side, is punishment.

Al-Hadid 57:14

ۖ

They call out to them, “Were we not with you?” They say, “Yes, but you put yourselves into temptation, waited, and doubted. Wishes deceived you until the command of The God came, and the deceiver deceived you about The God.

Al-Hadid 57:15

ۚ ۖ ۖ

Today no ransom will be accepted from you or from those who disbelieved. Your refuge is the Fire; it is your protector. What an evil destination!”

Al-Hadid 57:16

ۖ

Has the time not come for those who believe that their hearts should become humble before the remembrance of The God and the truth that has come down, and that they should not be like those given the Book earlier, whose time grew long and whose hearts hardened? Many of them are defiantly disobedient.

Al-Hadid 57:17

Know that The God gives life to the earth after its death. We have made the signs clear to you, so that you may understand.

Al-Hadid 57:18

For the men and women who give charity and lend The God a good loan, it will be multiplied, and they will have a noble reward.

Al-Hadid 57:19

ۖ ۖ

Those who believe in The God and His messengers are the utterly truthful; and the witnesses, with their Lord, have their reward and their light. Those who disbelieve and deny Our signs are the companions of the blazing fire.

Al-Hadid 57:20

ۖ ۖ ۚ

Know that worldly life is play, amusement, adornment, boasting among yourselves, and rivalry in wealth and children. It is like rain whose growth delights the tillers; then it withers and you see it yellow, then it becomes broken straw. In the Hereafter there are severe punishment, and forgiveness and approval from The God. Worldly life is only the enjoyment of delusion.

Al-Hadid 57:21

ۚ ۚ

Race toward forgiveness from your Lord and a garden as wide as the sky and the earth, prepared for those who believe in The God and His messengers. That is the bounty of The God, which He gives to whomever He wills. The God possesses great bounty.

Al-Hadid 57:22

ۚ

No calamity befalls the earth or yourselves without being in a book before We bring it into being. That is easy for The God,

Al-Hadid 57:23

ۗ

so that you do not grieve over what has escaped you or exult in what He has given you. The God does not love anyone conceited and boastful,

Al-Hadid 57:24

ۗ

those who are stingy and command people to be stingy. Whoever turns away, The God is the Self-Sufficient, the Praiseworthy.

Al-Hadid 57:25

ۖ ۚ

We sent Our messengers with clear proofs and sent down with them the Book and the balance, so that people might uphold justice. We sent down iron, in which there is great strength and benefits for people, and so that The God may know who helps Him and His messengers unseen. The God is Strong and Mighty.

Al-Hadid 57:26

ۖ ۖ

We sent Noah and Abraham and placed prophethood and the Book among their descendants. Some of them are guided, while many of them are defiantly disobedient.

Al-Hadid 57:27

ۖ ۖ

Then We followed in their footsteps with Our messengers, and followed with Jesus, son of Mary, and gave him the Gospel. We placed tenderness and mercy in the hearts of those who followed him. As for monasticism, they invented it; We had not prescribed it for them, except seeking the approval of The God. Yet they did not observe it as it deserved to be observed. We gave those among them who believed their reward, while many of them are defiantly disobedient.

Al-Hadid 57:28

ۚ

O you who believe, be mindful of The God and believe in His messenger. He will give you two shares of His mercy, provide you with a light by which you may walk, and forgive you. The God is Forgiving and Merciful,

Al-Hadid 57:29

ۙ ۚ

so that the People of the Book may know that they have no control over any of the bounty of The God, and that bounty is in the hand of The God. He gives it to whomever He wills. The God possesses great bounty.
