In the name of The God, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.
An-Naba 78:1
About what are they asking one another?
An-Naba 78:2
About the great news,
An-Naba 78:3
concerning which they disagree.
An-Naba 78:4
No indeed! They will soon know.
An-Naba 78:5
Again, no indeed! They will soon know.
An-Naba 78:6
Did We not make the earth a resting place,
An-Naba 78:7
and the mountains pegs?
An-Naba 78:8
We created you in pairs,
An-Naba 78:9
and made your sleep a rest,
An-Naba 78:10
and made the night a covering,
An-Naba 78:11
and made the day for livelihood,
An-Naba 78:12
and built above you seven strong ones,
An-Naba 78:13
and set a blazing lamp,
An-Naba 78:14
and sent down pouring water from the rain clouds,
An-Naba 78:15
to bring forth grain and vegetation with it,
An-Naba 78:16
and gardens of intertwined growth.
An-Naba 78:17
The Day of Decision is an appointed time,
An-Naba 78:18
a day when the trumpet is blown and you come in groups,
An-Naba 78:19
and the sky is opened and becomes gateways,
An-Naba 78:20
and the mountains are set in motion and become a mirage.
An-Naba 78:21
Hell is a place of ambush,
An-Naba 78:22
a place of return for the transgressors,
An-Naba 78:23
where they remain for ages.
An-Naba 78:24
There they taste neither coolness nor drink,
An-Naba 78:25
except boiling water and foul discharge,
An-Naba 78:26
a fitting recompense.
An-Naba 78:27
They did not expect an accounting,
An-Naba 78:28
and utterly denied Our signs.
An-Naba 78:29
We have enumerated everything in a record.
An-Naba 78:30
So taste! We will increase you in nothing but punishment.
An-Naba 78:31
For the mindful there is attainment,
An-Naba 78:32
gardens and grapes,
An-Naba 78:33
and full-breasted maidens of equal age,
An-Naba 78:34
and a brimming cup.
An-Naba 78:35
There they hear neither idle talk nor lies,
An-Naba 78:36
a recompense from your Lord, a sufficient gift,
An-Naba 78:37
ۖ
the Lord of the heavens and the earth and what is between them, the Entirely Merciful. They have no authority to address Him.
An-Naba 78:38
ۖ
On the day when the Spirit and the angels stand in rows, they will not speak, except one whom the Entirely Merciful permits and who speaks rightly.
An-Naba 78:39
ۖ
That is the true day. So whoever wills may take a way of return to his Lord.
An-Naba 78:40
We have warned you of a near punishment, on the day when a person sees what his hands have sent ahead, and the disbeliever says, “If only I were dust!”
