In the name of The God, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.
An-Naziat 79:1
By those who pull out forcefully,
An-Naziat 79:2
and those who draw out gently,
An-Naziat 79:3
and those who swim along,
An-Naziat 79:4
then those who race ahead,
An-Naziat 79:5
then those who direct the affair,
An-Naziat 79:6
on the day when the shaking one shakes,
An-Naziat 79:7
followed by the one that comes after.
An-Naziat 79:8
Hearts that day will tremble,
An-Naziat 79:9
their eyes cast down.
An-Naziat 79:10
They say, “Will we be returned to our former state,
An-Naziat 79:11
when we have become decayed bones?”
An-Naziat 79:12
They said, “That would be a losing return!”
An-Naziat 79:13
It will be only a single cry,
An-Naziat 79:14
and suddenly they will be on the open ground.
An-Naziat 79:15
Has the account of Moses reached you,
An-Naziat 79:16
when his Lord called him in the sacred valley of Tuwa:
An-Naziat 79:17
“Go to Pharaoh; he has transgressed.
An-Naziat 79:18
Then say: Would you be willing to purify yourself,
An-Naziat 79:19
and let me guide you to your Lord, so that you may fear Him?”
An-Naziat 79:20
Then he showed him the greater sign.
An-Naziat 79:21
But he denied and disobeyed.
An-Naziat 79:22
Then he turned away, striving.
An-Naziat 79:23
He gathered and called out,
An-Naziat 79:24
saying, “I am your highest lord.”
An-Naziat 79:25
So The God seized him with an exemplary punishment of the Hereafter and this world.
An-Naziat 79:26
In this there is a lesson for whoever fears.
An-Naziat 79:27
ۚ
Are you harder to create, or the sky? He built it.
An-Naziat 79:28
He raised its height and fashioned it,
An-Naziat 79:29
and darkened its night and brought out its daylight.
An-Naziat 79:30
After that He spread out the earth.
An-Naziat 79:31
He brought forth its water and pasture,
An-Naziat 79:32
and firmly set the mountains,
An-Naziat 79:33
as provision for you and your livestock.
An-Naziat 79:34
When the greater overwhelming calamity comes,
An-Naziat 79:35
on the day when a human remembers what he strove for,
An-Naziat 79:36
and the blazing fire is brought into view for whoever sees,
An-Naziat 79:37
then as for whoever transgressed,
An-Naziat 79:38
and preferred the life of this world,
An-Naziat 79:39
the blazing fire will be the refuge.
An-Naziat 79:40
But as for whoever feared standing before his Lord and restrained the self from desire,
An-Naziat 79:41
the garden will be the refuge.
An-Naziat 79:42
They ask you about the Hour: when will it arrive?
An-Naziat 79:43
What part have you in telling of it?
An-Naziat 79:44
Its ultimate end rests with your Lord.
An-Naziat 79:45
You are only a warner to whoever fears it.
An-Naziat 79:46
On the day they see it, it will be as though they had stayed only an evening or its morning.
